I am glad to be a part of GMIT.

Placements: Above 80% of the students get placed at the end of their course. The average salary package offered in core engineering branches is 1.6 LPA, but for branches like ECE and CSE, it is less. Companies like L&T, Gammon India and Shapoorji Pallonji visit our college to recruit students.

Infrastructure: There are lots of facilities in our college, and we get the opportunity to access Wi-Fi services for free of cost. Labs are well maintained with all updated instruments. The quality of the food served in the canteen is well enough, and facilities available in the hostel are up to the mark.

Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful, whether in subject-related matters or college-related matters. They teach us in a very effective manner so that we can understand easily. Besides offline studies, they conduct online examinations for us. They not only teach in a theoretical way but also teach in a practical way so that we can deal with industrial things.

Other: The main reason for me to choose civil engineering is to become a proper civil engineer and work for society. Cultural festival, tech fest and different occasions are celebrated in our college.

Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology is a B.Tech engineering college in Baruipur.

Overall is good for making a student's future in our college.

Placements: 80 percent of students were placed in our college. The highest, the lowest and average package offered in our course are 150000, 100000,130000. respectively. Top recruiting companies for our course are Regal Service, Aich Group, Sri Durga Delcom Pvt. Ltd.

Infrastructure: We got free Wi-Fi for our department. We also got digital class room for our course. We got different lab facility for each subject like auto cad lab, environment lab, transportation lab, soil lab and concrete lab etc. We also got book bank facility in our college library.

Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful for any kind of problem. They are very knowledgeable and qualified. The teaching quality is good for teaching. The teaching techniques used were very good and easy to understand. The course is relevant and makes us industry ready.

Good in infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: During the course 20 percent students got placed. Rest student will be placed after the Pandemic situation is over, Career Delevolpment cell extended the placement drive period upto December due to thi pandemic situation. 40 percent student got internship in software company and 10 percent student got internship in construction site.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good for every department of college. In library, variety of books relevant to course are available which will issued as per student demand for 14 days In civil department, all instruments for lab tests are available .

Faculty: All teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable which makes student easy to learn the subject. This course curriculum is relevant which makes student ready for industry. Grooming classes are also available for students for personality development which helps students ready to face any kind of interview.

Other: I chose this course because in this course, all theoretical knowledge is easily seen in practical field. If in every end semester, industry visit is available then it would become more interesting about the subject. Fest is also organised by student in every year with the help of college management. Variety of scholarship are available for students.

GMIT is the best private college in West Bengal.

Placements: From the CDC, I get internships on the central public works department (CPWD). From internships, we gain a lot of knowledge. In covid19 situation, CDC and our departmental sir are trying to send information about the webinar, seminars, etc. They also provide NPTEL course links.

Infrastructure: The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. We also have smart classrooms, library, labs, gymnasium, cold water facilities, and a canteen. It is a ragging free campus. The hostel is also ragging free. It also has a huge playground. Two canteens are available on GMIT campus.

Faculty: Faculty members of GMIT are very helpful. If we are facing any problem with our activities, they are always ready to help us. GMIT organises a career development cell which works under guidance by our respective VC sir. CDC try to improve our skills and students are ready for industry.

Other: I opted for this course because I got inspired by my father as he is a civil engineer. The college should provide more communication skills and leadership skills to improve our course and interview purposes. GMIT organises a fest, science carnival, and DKB football cup every year.

Placements: Around 75% of the students got internships from our course. Almost 50% of the students got placed in our course. Students get 45 days internships and company gave students payment of Rs. 15,000 of 45 days. Most well-known companies visit the campus to conduct interviews. They gave chances to freshers to apply their knowledge.

Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, library and classrooms. The infrastructure of the college is very good. The library has a lot of books for various higher education. Other facilities like medical, sports and game, cold water, and canteen facilities are well. GMIT is a good green campus.

Placements: Placements are average for core branches like civil engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. However, for computer science and ECE department, placements are very good. The recruiting company of our college for CS and ECE branch is TCS.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good, and the Wi-Fi facility is available for half part of the campus. Classrooms in every department are very well, and the library is very good. The campus is huge and lush green. There are trees and grass throughout the campus.

Faculty: Faculty members of GMIT are very well qualified and experienced. HODs of every department are retired faculty members of reputed colleges like Jadavpur University, etc. Professors and assistant professors are also experienced. Lab assistants are very good and friendly.
