Yes, GIMSR does provide a refund in case a student wishes to withdraw the admission to the Master of Surgery programme. However, the amount of the refund is subject to certain conditions. Mentioned below is the refund policy followed by the institute:

The admissions to GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Visakhapatnam is entrance based. The mode of application is online. Moreover, for GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Visakhapatnam admissions to the MBBS programme are based on the NEET-UG and MD/MS course admissions on the basis of the NEET-PG score. Admissions to the BSc Paramedical Courses are based on GAT (Paramedical UG) scores. Additional, the total annual seat intake is around 150 for the MBBS programme, around 127 are reserved under management and 23 are under the NRI seat quota.

Only the candidates who complete the application form are issued the GAT admit card to appear for the GITAM admission test. The admit card will have all the details for the GAT exam, the centre name and address, and also the repoting time for the exam.

It is compulsory for the candidates to clear the entrance exams for the Medical Sciences and Research, Visakhapatnam. The entrance exam accepted for MBBS is NEET.
