B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) - Batch of 2029

GITAM University review – Average.
Placements: 70% of students from GITAM School of Technology got a job in 2025. The highest salary is 79 LPA, and the lowest is 3.6 LPA. Students are hired for jobs like software developer, data analyst, machine learning engineer, and cybersecurity specialist. Companies like Oracle and RealPage hire many students. Some big companies like Microsoft and Amazon also hire a few students for high-paying jobs. Many students also got internships at well-known companies like Amazon, TCS, and Wipro.
Infrastructure: The college buildings are neat and well maintained. The library is huge and neat. The housekeeping staff maintain everything well, and it is easy to navigate around the building. The labs are really good, and there are some new labs where students can work on projects on their own. The library contains a lot of books and is maintained very well.
Faculty: Faculty is decent, some teachers are good. Students have to participate and reach out to the mentors. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not completely prepare students for the industry, however, they do provide opportunities to do so. The pass percentage is 25%.
Other: I chose AIML because I am interested in AI. The best part about this course is that the market for AI is huge. I wish there were some AI projects I could work on to gain experience. There are some fests in the college, but not very often. The fests are fun and engaging. GITAM University provides lots of scholarships through the GAT exam.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) - Batch of 2027
2.6
2Placements3Infrastructure2Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Good for parsh life but not the value of money.
Placements: The placements are average in this college, with about 50% to 60% placed. B.Tech placements (2024) has 354 students placed. The lowest package is 3.6 LPA, 15 LPA is the highest, and the average package is 4.5 LPA. Shiksha overall placement trend, 2023-24, is that the median package is 4.10 LPA (UG programs). The highest package is 15 LPA. The lowest package is 3.6 LPA. Recruiters include Amazon, TCS, Bosch, Capgemini, Deloitte, JP Morgan, and more.
Infrastructure: It's somewhat good compared to other colleges. Facilities include smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, including for engineering disciplines like CSE, ECE, Mechanical, Civil, Physics, Chemistry, seminar halls, auditoriums, and sports fields like cricket, basketball, badminton, football, etc., a gym, cafeterias, and medical facilities.
Faculty: Faculty is not that good. The School of Technology benefits from an industry advisory board, with representation from sector leaders like Marelli, Bosch Engineering, Schneider Electric, TCS, Airbus, and Honeywell, which helps shape an industry-aligned curriculum and foster experiential learning.

Good placements and infrastructure with industry-focused learning at GITAM University.
Placements: Around 75-90% of students in my course are placed, with the highest package at INR 46.5 LPA and an average of INR 4.5 LPA to 7 LPA. Top recruiters included Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Deloitte. Nearly 70-90% of students got internships at major companies, with top roles like software engineer, data scientist, and analyst.
Infrastructure: Campus offers Wi-Fi-enabled, smart classrooms, modern labs, a large digital library, and well-equipped sports facilities. Hostels have clean rooms, 24X7 security, and hygienic food, while mess and canteens serve a variety of dishes with both veg and non-veg options. Hostel life is comfortable with amenities like gyms and medical care. Students enjoy indoor/outdoor sports. It has well-maintained recreation areas and convenient campus facilities.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good with qualified and supportive faculty members. They focus on practical learning. The curriculum is up-to-date and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult, but the pass percentage is high, usually ranging from 70-90%.
Other: I chose this course for its strong industry focus and practical learning. The best things are experienced faculty members and hands-on projects that boost real-world skills. I wish the curriculum had more industry tie-ups. The campus is vibrant with fun fests, diverse crowd, good connectivity, scholarships, and lots of extracurricular activities.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026

I never regretted taking this college for my B.Tech, and it is worth it for me.
Placements: It is good, but jobs will only be acquired by those who study very well, and for average students, it is somewhat difficult. Companies that come for the placement drives are good, but packages are low. The career guidelines center is excellent in its work. If we definitely follow the work, they say we will definitely get placed, but we also should maintain our GPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good in both the hostel and the campus. It is good enough for those who want to study. Hostels are very good and better than the campus. They are still building so many things, like a temple, one more hostel block, which is very good. Expanding the campus is good for the upcoming students.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent for so many subjects, but some do not know anything but reading the PPT. The course curriculum, internal and external ways, is good. There are also faculty members who are very strict in starting, but we won't like them, and eventually, we will understand that we want more of them.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) - Batch of 2028
3.8
3Placements5Infrastructure3Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Good infrastructure and supportive faculty members, but placement and industry exposure can improve.
Placements: Placement rate for B.Tech across disciplines hovered between 75% and 90%, depending on branch (e.g. CSE 90%, ECE 85%, mechanical 80%, and civil 75%). Another source cites a broad placement range of 80-90%. Overall, university has MOUs with more than 200 companies for internships and live industry projects. Top roles offered are software engineer, data scientist, embedded engineer, RPA engineer, quality engineer, design engineer, circuit designer, project manager, cloud engineer, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: GITAM University Bengaluru offers a well-developed infrastructure for its students. Campus has full Wi-Fi connectivity, including in classrooms and hostels. Academic facilities include spacious, smart classrooms, a well-stocked digital and physical library, and modern labs for all engineering branches like CSE, ECE, and mechanical. Hostels are separate for boys and girls, with 2 to 6-sharing rooms, Wi-Fi, 24X7 security, and housekeeping. While the food served in the mess and canteens is varied, students have given mixed reviews about its taste and hygiene. Medical facilities are available on campus, with a president doctor, first-aid services, and 24 hour.
Faculty: Faculty members at GITAM Bengaluru are mostly qualified and supportive, though teaching quality varies. Some are very helpful, while others rely mainly on slides. The curriculum is fairly relevant and includes industry-related content, but it still may not fully prepare students for real-world jobs. Semester exams are moderate to tough, depending on the subject and faculty. Attendance is strictly monitored. The pass percentage ranges from 35% to 90%, depending on the course and student effort.
Other: I was part of the B.Tech (computer science) batch at GITAM University Bengaluru. I chose this course because of my interest in technology and its career opportunities. The best things about the course are the access to updated lab facilities, project-based learning, and helpful faculty members. However, the curriculum could include more hands-on industry training and internships. Campus hosts regular tech and cultural fests like Pramana and GUSAC Carnival, which are well-organized and fun. Crowd is diverse and friendly, with active student clubs and extracurricular in sports, arts, and tech. The campus is peaceful.

This college is good, but not for all.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course is about 800 students. The lowest, highest, and average packages offered in my course are as the lowest is 3 LPA, the highest is 24 LPA. Top recruiting companies for my course are Bosch, IBM, and Wipro. The percentage of students who got internships from my course is 57%, and companies like IBM, Google, Microsoft, etc. The top roles offered in my course are web designer, developer, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for my course department are Wi-Fi, but our mobile signal is not available. Labs and classrooms are average, and the library is also average. The quality of facilities in my hostel and the quality of food available in the mess and the canteen is below average. Medical facilities are available in the hostel, and sports and games are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good with some faculty members. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make students industry-ready. The semester exams are like average papers in this college. The pass percentage is 35% or 5 points out of 100.
