I am very satisfied because this college is overcoming all its past demerits.
Placements: This course is very famous in south India. It is not that popular in north India. About 60 to 70% of students get placed after doing this course. The highest pay scale is in government jobs. Students may apply for the post of drug inspector after training for at least 18 months in the pharmaceutical industry. Students can also apply for ONGC or go for higher studies. The average salary offered in this course is Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month. If a person works in the pharmaceutical industry as a fresher, he or she would earn less than average. Top recruiting companies for this course are Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Dr. Morpen, Cipla, Cadela, Lupin, etc. About 75% to 80% of students from this course got internships at Cipla and Dr. Morpen.
Infrastructure: This is the best college. It has very beautiful buildings. It is situated in the city. There are separate buildings for all the departments. Labs are very clean, and lab assistants are disciplined. There are about 15 science labs that are very clean and well maintained, so students can learn things comfortably. There is a big library in front of the principal's office. The library is also very clean. The library has approximately 70000 books, so students can read or borrow any book from there. There is an auditorium near the ground where activities such as singing and dancing competitions take place. This college also provides hostel facilities for students who come from different cities or who cannot travel from home. The hostel is very good. It is on the college campus. There is a separate room for every student. Each room has a bed, a table, an almirah, and a lamp. The mess at the college provides very clean and delicious food. There is a ground near the hostel where students can do their physical activities. There is also a medical room in the hostel.
Faculty: I learned a lot of things from our teachers. All teachers were qualified and knowledgeable. The way of teaching was totally different. They taught us like their own children. They also shared their previous experiences with us. It helped us a lot. All the subjects they taught in this course helped us to get ready for the industry. One month of industry training was also essential to the course, without which the degree would be incomplete. The difficulty level of the semester exams was average. If students are sincere from the start of the course and study daily for about 4 to 5 hours, they can easily pass the exams. The pass percentage was 80% to 85%.
Other: I've been fascinated by science since I was a child. After graduating, I realised that this course would allow me to conduct numerous experiments. I was interested in this course, so I chose it. There should be more practical classes than theory classes because students can learn more practically. The campus crowd here was very famous in Chandigarh. They conducted many fests, events, activities, sports meets, etc., from time to time. They also made students smart and active. This is the best college for M.Sc. in applied chemistry.

It is the best science college in Chandigarh.
Placements: More than 200 students got placed in campus placements. The average salary package offered is more than 5 LPA. About 30 companies visited the campus for placements. Placement opportunities are made available to all graduate and post-graduate students. More than 20 companies are the regular recruiters of GGDSD college students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is amazing. We have a well-equipped library, reading room, labs, and classrooms. The canteen food is good, and hostel rooms are good. Wi-Fi is available in the college and hostel. Classrooms are very good. Hostels are very good with accommodation of 400 students. There are both boys' and girls' hostels. Mess food is the average. There are two auditoriums, among which one is for cultural events and the other is for academics. Our library has a huge range of books, which are not just restricted to college academics.
Faculty: The curriculum is vast and interesting. There are a total of 7 exams in a semester, and you have to study very sincerely to get good marks. Teachers are highly well-qualified and very supportive. There are a total of 7 subjects a year. Semester exams are not difficult.
Other: I want to pursue a career in pharmacy. I chose M.Sc. in applied chemistry.
