Real review based on my college life.
Placements: Honestly speaking, the placement of our college is improving. Last year's placement batch had 25 students with an average package of 3-4 LPA, and the highest placement of our college is 44 LPA. However, I’ve noticed that core branches have better placement rates than tech branches. So, this is the overall situation regarding placements.
Infrastructure: The college area is 12 acres. The infrastructure is good, but compared to other private colleges, it is not much better. There are hostels for girls and boys, and canteen (mess) facilities are only available for hostel students. In my opinion, the education quality is good, so there is no need for excellent infrastructure.
Faculty: The faculty is good. Both permanent and visiting faculty are commendable. They conduct 2 exams, and the internal scores depend on the results of these two exams, making them important for internal assessments. College staff are also helpful to the students. Regular lectures and practicals are held. Now, due to the new education policy (NEP), they’ve added many extracurricular activities and good initiatives for new students.
Other: I chose this college because it offers value for money, is near my home, and I have heard good things about the placement opportunities. There is a small crowd, so all teachers and faculty can provide good attention to each student, which I appreciate.

Government College of Engineering, Nagpur
Placements: The placement of Government College of Engineering Nagpur is average, not much, but many students have had placements in the past, approximately 200 students are placed in good MNCs. Its overall placement record is going upward, and its placement alumni is very strong. So, if the applicants are skillful and deserving, they will surely get placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good, it’s just bad. Every engineering student thinks their college should be good, but here it is very below average compared to other government and private engineering colleges. But yes, one thing is that it is more than worth it in the course fee. Computer labs are well-equipped, in fact, the best.
Faculty: Faculty is first class, they are experienced and qualified, and their teaching is effective. Teaching style is very good. The curriculum is decent, not too much, but there are few opportunities to do more. You can join some of the active clubs of the college. Exams are conducted monthly for 20 marks twice, and the semester exams are conducted by RTMNU..
Other: Most of the crowd is from outside of the city. As it is a government college, many students are intelligent; therefore, they are intellectual and proper. That’s why the crowd is decent, not too good, not too bad. Campus life is normal, you just have to enjoy it by yourself.

Review of Government College of Engineering, Nagpur
Placements: GCOEN has had a good placement record for the last few years. Recently, one passed-out student from the ENTC branch of GCOEN got placed in Sony for 48 LPA. Placements are good but only depend on your skills and the companies’ requirements. Not many big companies like Google or Microsoft visit here, but many companies do come for placement drives, so students get a big opportunity to secure placements.
Infrastructure: I am not satisfied with the campus because I had dreamed it would be much better for my engineering life, but still, one thing is that it is more than worth it for the course fee. It’s not so bad that I would not choose it, but it is less attractive compared to other colleges. The classrooms and labs are good, and the hostels are also good with Wi-Fi all over the campus.
Faculty: The faculty is good, well-supported to students, and they are well-qualified with more than 10 years of experience. They teach with their experience and dignity, putting 100% effort into the students. Extracurricular activities are decent, not like other engineering colleges, but there are many clubs to participate in and boost your curriculum, like the IIC (Institute Innovation Council).
Other: The crowd is good, they are mostly from outside. As the college is government-run, many prefer to score well and come here from outside the cities. Campus life is normal, not too enjoyable, not too focused on studies. Events and fests are organised every year, so there is much to enjoy.

Supportive faculty members and helpful environment.
Placements: Placement scenario in the Electronics and Telecommunication (ETC) branch is decent. Around 60-70% students get placed every year. Top companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, and Cognizant visit for recruitment. The average package is around 3.5 LPA, and some students also get internships in core companies.
Faculty: Faculty members of the ETC department are well-qualified and helpful. Most of them have good teaching experience and explain concepts in a simple and clear manner. The curriculum is designed as per RTMNU university standards, but it could be more industry-oriented. Teachers support students during projects and exams. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and most students pass with proper preparation. The average pass percentage is around 85% to 90%. Faculty members of the ETC department are knowledgeable and supportive. Most of them have good teaching experience and are always ready to help students. The curriculum is updated as per university standards. Exams are conducted on time and fairly. Internal assessments and practicals are also taken seriously, which helps in overall understanding of the subjects.
Other: Overall, my experience at college has been good. The environment is decent for studies, and the faculty members are supportive. There is scope for improvement in terms of placements and practical exposure. Students who stay active in academics and extracurricular activities can make the most of the opportunities here.

Review of Government College of Engineering, Nagpur.
Placements: Placements are good, and it's always based on our skills. Many companies visit the college to hire students. Many students get off-campus placements. The highest package offered in our department is 44 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA, and it ranges up as per our skills. In last year's batch, students got placed at many big companies.
Infrastructure: College is not big, but it's pretty good compared to the fee. The college has three buildings, 2 hostels, and a mess. 1st main building is of civil, mechanical engineering, and administration. 2nd building is an annex of the CSE, EE department, etc. The 3rd building is under construction for the M.Tech course.
Faculty: The course curriculum and faculty members are overpowered and highly experienced with effective teaching. They are cooperative and supportive. They always help when needed. The syllabus is under RTMNU, and it is affiliated with Nagpur University, so exams are conducted by them only.
Other: It's absolutely value for money and no other government college provides B.Tech at a low price. The crowd is also good, as it is a government college.

Many extracurricular activities are done by students.
Placements: In the college, 50% of students get placed. The highest package is around 6 LPA. Many companies recruit students from our college, and students get internships from good and high-paying companies like TCS. The top roles are service manager and quality inspector.
Infrastructure: There are good facilities like a strong Wi-Fi connection, clean labs with presentation screens, and a neat and clean library. As a non-hostel student, I can't comment on hostels, but I can say that the mess and canteen facilities are very good. Sports facilities are also nice, and anyone can practice anytime.
Faculty: Teachers are well-mannered, and teaching also provides us with information about other affairs happening in the country. Business teachers are good and have a helpful nature. The course curriculum is 60% relevant, and the semester exams are good. A score of 45/70 is required to pass.
Other: This course has a good scope for the future, and it is joyful to study. There should be more practical experiments rather than just writing papers. College events are well-organized, and many extracurricular activities take place on campus.

The genuine review of Government College of Engineering, Nagpur.
Placements: About 60% of students got placed last year. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. TCS is the top recruiting company for our course. A maximum number of students get internships mainly in Zoho and Tech Walnut. Roles are offered are developer, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available everywhere on campus. There is centralised computer lab and the library is also available on campus. The hostel is the best part of the college. Free Wi-Fi is available. The mess food quality is also good. Sports event named Sphoorti is also conducted and ground conditions are also good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching is also good. The course curriculum is relevant but students need to gain extra knowledge to become industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage is 60%.
Other: I am interested in this course, so I chose it. The best thing is I enjoy everything that I learn here. I wish we gain more practical knowledge. Events and fests are good in college. We get the scholarships. Extracurricular activities also happen in the college.

Great Infrastructure and Facilities, but Faculty Needs Improvement.
Placements: The placement of my college is better compared to other colleges. A few days before the time of placement, the faculty and faculty in charge fully guide you for your placement. Famous IT companies like Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini, etc., come to the college. The average package of the college is 6 to 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is very good. The college is surrounded by plants and trees. My college provides the best books in the library and the best computer lab. The college has high-generation computers for students, and in the computer lab, there is also one other special room for a communication skills lab.
Faculty: The college is full of greatly knowledgeable faculty. The teachers teach in a very polite and respectful manner. The teachers motivate me and my colleagues. The college has a coordinator, ma'am or sir, for every branch and every student. The college has separate faculty for each subject.
Other: The college organizes events like sports. The college organizes events like Oranz and Addhyaa, etc. All the branches compete in sports competitions.
