The college is strongly recommended for those who are passionate to be good engineers.
Placements: The placement percentage of our batch is almost 95%. A lot of companies visited the campus during our batch. The placements are strictly based on students' talent, no recommendations will work. The minimum CTC offered was 3 Lacs per annum, and the maximum was 12 Lacs per annum, for our batch. Many placement activities are conducted.
Infrastructure: The college has a very good library and labs. I wouldn't tell that we have many facilities like that of private colleges, but at the same time, no one can offer such a privilege to students for the fee paid. The students deserve more than the existing facilities.
Faculty: The faculty in our college are very good and knowledgeable and have laid great paths for our life. It's a privilege to be a part of GCT family. People are given a chance to explore on their own, which definitely turns out any student to be great.
Other: Many clubs like Tamil Mandram Literary, debating society and a green club for nature lovers are present in the college. A lot of sports facilities are available. I don't have much idea about it. We have various scholarships like alumni scholarship, etc., which help the students a lot.

Review of Government College of Technology (GCT).
Placements: In our college, almost all students got placed. Top recruiting companies like Zoho, TCS, Accenture, etc., visited our campus. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA to 4 LPA. If your CGPA score is more than 7, you are eligible to participate in online campus activities.
Infrastructure: Our hostel provided average facilities. It was a government college. Our college infrastructure was old. The college environment was good. Wi-Fi was available. Labs were good.
Faculty: Our teachers were well-qualified and knowledgeable. They were experts in their respective fields. The course curriculum was good. There were also methods to achieve success that greatly benefited students in completing their studies.
Other: I chose this course because it offers the chance to explore both the core field and opportunities in the IT sector, providing a versatile path for career choices.

Candidate must have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil Nadu.

Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply.
Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced.
