As this is an MBBS course, after 4.5 years of education, there is a compulsory 1-year internship programme for which you are paid almost 11 K per month, and after that, you get your degree and join any healthcare facility as a medical officer with a starting package of INR 8 LPA to INR 9 LPA. Internship is of 1-year compulsory rotation in all the departments where postgraduate students learn practical aspects of healthcare. After graduation, students can work as a medical officer with a salary of 70 K per month in medical college hospitals or primary health centres in Maharashtra. Your salary may vary from state to state. The duration of the course is 4th years + internships. There is no stipend for an internship.
