Review of Government Polytechnic College, Kanpur.
Placements: Around 70-80% of students got placed in all branches. The highest salary package offered ranges between 6 LPA - 7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Hindalco, and Jindal.
Infrastructure: Our college has a lot of branches. Wi-Fi is not available for students. All labs are not much good. All facilities are average, Buildings are very old. All classrooms are not good. You can easily purchase books from the library. All hostels are available for girls only. There are no hostels for boys because the new buildings are under construction. There is no canteen in our college. Our college does not have a park.
Faculty: Teachers are very humble. The principal is very strict. Teachers are well-qualified. Our college has many teachers. They are talented. The education is average. Semester exams are conducted in our college. There are very strict rules for exams. Students cannot enter without checking.
Other: I opted for this course because I want to become an engineer, and it provides 100% placements. I also want to become a junior engineer at UPPCL.

Need to do work on environment.
Placements: 85% of students were placed in different companies. The highest package offered was INR 4.6 LPA, average package offered by the companies was INR 2 LPA and the lowest package offered was INR 1.2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Hindalco, Grasim, Tata motors, etc.
45% students got internships as well.
Infrastructure: Facilities were nice, library, classrooms were okay but environment was very bad. Seniors do ragging very badly. There were no canteens only mess was there with below average food which I couldn't eat since it was not safe at all.
Sports, games was nice. They organize state level sports events.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable.
Somehow I can say that students do not get industry ready. The teachers should help the students a little about their studies.
Exams were very tough each and every semester and pass percentage was 87%.
Students need to study about the subjects with external sources like coaching. Otherwise it's very tough to compete.
Other: Everything was good but they have to do hard work about the environment of the college specially ragging.

Placements: Students who have high academic percentages were placed from our course. The highest percentage of students who were placed from our course was 75%. The highest salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month in our course, while the lowest salary offered was Rs. 12,000 per month.
Infrastructure: There were very nice facilities in our course. There was a Google Wi-Fi facility, huge and comfortable labs, clean classrooms and a good library. Very nice food was available in the mess and canteen. Medical facilities were very good, and many sports programs were organised in our course.
Faculty: The teachers here were very helpful to all students. They all were qualified in difficult exams. The teaching quality was very attractive in our course. We enjoyed all moments with the teachers. Semester exams were difficult, but we qualified them properly. We secured a good percentage in every semester's exams. The pass percentage was 80%.
Other: There were many good qualities in our course, so I chose this course. I was interested in this course. I think this course should be made better than like old format. Many programmes were organised in our college.
