Excellent college for GME.

Placements: About 80 percent of students are placed in various shipping companies like MMSI, M.Sc., BSM, Damico, and Zodiac, all selected as TME. At HIMT if you have good academics and speak well getting a placement is not difficult. Focus on the basics and have good communication skills that is the shortcut for placement.

The college provides a disciplined environment with limited exposure to outside life.

Placements: For the Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) course, students require sponsorship from a shipping company before enrollment. I was sponsored by Synergy Maritime for the role of deck cadet. HIMT College mainly provides training for sponsored cadets. It does not play a direct role in placements for DNS cadets. The course fee is around 5 LPA for the one-year DNS course. Other companies like Zodiac Maritime, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Seaspan Corporation, and GENCO recruit B.Sc. cadets. Placement details for...

It is a great learning environment with strong placement support.

Placements: I am part of the GME batch, placed in the Eastaway Shipping Company. Within 6 months, around 60–70% out of a batch of 40 students get selected. Companies such as Eastaway, BSM, Berge Bulk, and d’Amico were all selected as TME. At HIMT, if you have good academics and speak well, getting a placement is not difficult. The average package offered is $ 650–750 per month. Focusing on the basics and having good communication skills is the shortcut to placement.

A good option for B.Tech mechanical engineers with the help of IMEC we can get a job easily.

Placements: I am studying Graduate Marine Engineering (1-year course after completing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering). After completing mechanical engineering, the best option is to enter the merchant navy career. The placement is excellent compared to other marine institutes. For GME there are batches fully sponsored by IMEC companies. So before joining the college we have a job in our hands.
