IIIT Sonepat offers BTech in CSE and IT specialisations. Graduates from BTech have various career opportunities in software development, data analysis, and cybersecurity. Candidate must have attain the rank as per the cutoff list released. As per the round 4 of the cutoff list,   the cutoff ranks among the General AI category candidates varied between 30167 and 33849. Therefore, to get admission to IIIT Sonepat, candidate must have a rank of atleast 33849.

IIIT Sonepat offered the highest salary of Rs 40 LPA to the Class of 2024. Earlier, it was 52 LPA for batch 2023 and 20 LPA for 2022 batch. The salary has increased in the last three years.

IIIT Sonepat accepted various national-level entrance exams. These exams include JEE main, DASA, GATE, UGC NET, and CSIR NET. Candidates who clear the entrance exam need to proceed with the counselling process. The remaining seats are filled with CSAB Counselling for the final admission.

IIIT Sonepat offers two BTech courses for which ranks are based on JEE Main scores. As per the last three years, IIIT Sonepat cutoff 2024 for the BTech courses for JEE Main Round 1 is expected to be as follows for the General category students: 

• B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering must range between 16525 and 20515.
• B.Tech. in Information Technology must range between 17763 and 22295.

For B.Tech candidates have to pay the JEE Main fee : The application fee for boys is INR 625 and INR 325 for girls.

For PhD, candidates have to pay the PhD application fee : General/OBC/EWS Candidates INR 1000 and for SC/ST/PwD INR 500.

As per the latest report, IIIT Sonepat recorded 59.6% of the IT branch students were placed in 2024 placement drive at IIIT Sonepat. The highest and average package offered to IT students during IIIT Sonepat placements in 2024 was INR 40 LPA and INR 17.87 LPA,  respectively. Candidates must have passed their Class 12 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or any technical vocational subject. Aspirants must have got a minimum of 75% aggregate marks or 65% for SC/ST candidates to apply for BTech at IIIT Sonepat.
