IIIT Trichy offers two specialisations for MTech; Computer Science & Engineering and VLSI Systems. For admission to the MTech programme, candidate's IIIT Trichy MTech programme candidates must have bachelor's degree with 60% aggregate. Also candidates must have a valid score in the GATE exam and go through the CCMT counselling. Additionally, candidates have to complete the entire admission process as per the Institution's admission guidelines.
Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 18981 and closing rank was 32825.
