A total of 190 companies visited the campus and offered around 220 job roles during IIM Ahmedabad PGP placements 2022. Companies such as Accenture, BCG and Bain & Co visited the campus in the Consulting domain whereas in the Investment Banking and Market domain, companies such as ARGA Investment, Avendus and Sanford C Bernstein visited the campus during IIM A PGP placements 2022. Further, from the FMCG, Conglomerate and BFSI domains, companies such as ITC, Adani Group and American Express visited the campus. Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Company made 44 and 37 offers in the Consulting domain during IIM Ahmedabad PGP placements 2022.

Internationally, IIMA has been ranked 29 by the QS Masters in Management Rankings (MBA) and 44 by the QS Global MBA Rankings. Nationally, IIM Ahmedabad ranks 1 by the NIRF 2022 and The Week 2022. The IIM Ahmedabad PGP (MBA) placement process is conducted in clusters. The first stage is the lateral placement process, where companies interview students with work experience and offer them mid-level managerial positions. In the second stage, the PGP final placement process is conducted where companies were grouped into cohorts (domains such as Consulting, Finance, etc.) based on the profiles offered, and these cohort groups were invited to campus across three clusters for final placements.

There is a good chance of receiving an interview call from IIM Ahmedabad, however, admission isn’t guaranteed even at 100 percentile. The overall criteria includes academic profile, that is your Class 12, Class 10 and graduation marks. The college also gives a score for work experience, hence, candidates must have 2-3 years of experience to get maximum points. Additional focus is also given to gender and academic diversity. Considering all these factors and candidates’ CAT score, IIM Ahmedabad prepares a composite score through which decides whether to finalise a student or not. IIM Ahmedabad or any other IIM, for that matter, doesn’t give direct admission only on the basis of CAT percentile, the first phase of admission process is giving the CAT exam. Students must clear the sectional and the minimum final cut-off to be eligible and considered for the call. After that, they must get shortlisted for the interviews and group discussion process. After all these rounds, a final list of shortlisted candidates is prepared. 

Candidates (General category) seeking admission to IIM-A for MBA must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate. For final selection, a student is required to have a valid score in the CAT exam (both sectional and overall) and is required to go through the AWT and PI rounds conducted by the institute. Additionally, for the final selection of candidates, everything right from their scores in Class 10, Class 12 and graduation are considered along with their CAT percentile, PI and WAT scores, stream in Class 12 and work experience. 

IIM Ahmedabad considered two kinds of CAT scores for MBA admission - Qualifying and Final score. After qualifying CAT score, the minimum sectional and overall CAT score is used to shortlist students for the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. Yes, over the years, the IIM-A has formed partnerships with leading Management schools in Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, South America, South Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. Every year, out of the second year class, appriximately 150 students are selected to spend one academic term abroad at a partner institute and IIM-A accepts about 90 students from its partners for the same period.

This exchange programme makes it possible for IIM-A students to gain international exposure without any financial impediments. In addition to the  scholarships instituted by IIMA, several students have received scholarships from participating schools, the French embassy, DAAD from Germany and some corporate partners.

The highest and average package offered during IIM Ahmedabad PGP placements 2023 stood at INR 1.46 crore per annum and INR 34.45 LPA, respectively.
