IIM Amritsar MBA course admission starts with filling out the CAT application form. Candidates after appearing for CAT exam are further called for other selection rounds. Below is step-wise IIM Amritsar MBA admission process:

STEP 1: IIM Amritsar MBA Application Process 2026

Aspirants meeting the eligibility criteria can apply for MBA course. Candidates need to register for CAT to get admission to MBA. Aspirants need to pay an application fees of INR 2,400 (for UR candidates) and INR 1,200 (for reserved categories). Find below the steps to fill out the CAT application form:

Step 1.1: Visit the official website: iimcat.ac.in.

Step 1.2: Click on "New Registration" and register by entering a few basic details.

Step 1.3: Login with the ID and fill out the application form.

Step 1.4: Upload the required documents.

Step 1.5: Pay the application fees via credit/ debit card or net banking.

Before starting the CAT registration process for admission to the MBA at IIM Amritsar, students must keep the following documents with them:

STEP 2: IIM Amritsar Selection Criteria

IIM Amritsar offers admission to its flagship programme MBA based on CAT score. Once the CAT results and CAT cutoff are out, candidates are shortlisted for PI round. During the interview, the panel will evaluate each candidate's academic background, quality of work experience and, other personal traits.

STEP 3: Declaration of Merit List

The final ranking list of candidates for admission to the MBA course will be based on the composite score. The composite score includes the PI score and post PI score. The post-PI score for each candidate is calculated based on the aggregate scores obtained in PI, work experience, gender diversity and, academic diversity. The pre-PI score is calculated based on the CAT score, academic performance, gender diversity and, work experience.

STEP 4: Admission Confirmation

The final admission offer made to candidates shortlisted from each category will be made strictly based on the final rank based on the aggregate score. Shortlisted aspirants are required to confirm their seats in IIM Amritsar by paying the IIM Amritsar MBA fees as mentioned below:
