In the stream of Engineering, IIT Dharwad MTech is a postgraduate programme offered with three specialisations. These specialisations are, namely, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering. Other than this, the institute also offers an Executive MTech and an MTech (Research) programme.
Admission to IIT Dharwad MTech courses is dependent on the scores achieved in the GATE exam, followed by COAP Counselling. Thus, candidates seeking admission to MTech courses must have appeared for the GATE exam and participate in the COAP counselling process. Moreover, students must note that admissions are only possible when they fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

IIT Dharwad MTech Admission Dates 2025
IIT Dharwad admits students to its MTech courses based on scores in the GATE examination. As per the GATE dates 2025, the exam is scheduled to be held in the month of February on multiple dates. IIT Dharwad MTech course admissions are entrance-based. Candidates seeking admission are required to pass the GATE exam. Other than this, students must also fulfill the basic eligibility criteria.
