IIT Gandhinagar PhD Eligibility & Highlights 2024

IIT Gandhinagar offers a PhD course at the doctoral level in 13 specialisations. Apart from regular PhD, the institute also offers Start Early PhD. Offered in regular and continuing doctoral programme (CDP) mode, admission to PhD and Start Early PhD course is based on an interview supplemented by a written test, if necessary.

Admission is generally open towards the beginning and end of each academic year. In addition to the announced admission cycles with a prescribed deadline of application, the institute also considers applications for any time of the year for exceptional candidates. IIT Gandhinagar PhD Application Process 2024

Candidates seeking admission to IIT Gandhinagar for PhD must apply online on the official website. Those looking forward to applying for more than one discipline must submit a separate application for each discipline. After the successful submission of the application form, students receive an application number and a link to download the application form. It must be saved, filled and shared as a hard copy along with the self-attested copies of all the relevant documents during the interview.

The application fee is INR 150 for SC/ ST/ PD categories and INR 300 for other categories.
There is no application fee for Start Early PhD.

Overall, it is the best college for a PhD in Chemistry course.

Placements: About 70% of the students qualified in the last batch. The highest salary package offered is 35 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 9 LPA. The average salary package offered is 17 LPA. Top companies like Tata Chemical, Ranbaxy, Sun Pharmaceutical, etc., visit the college to hire students. More than 60% of the students secured internships in industry. Both education and technical training are available. Higher-level roles like research scientist, patent scientist, etc., are offered here.

Infrastructure: IIT Gandhinagar is located in one of the best locations in India. It has exclusive campuses with a library, exclusive hotels with multiple daily outlets, and two agglomerations. It has a sports stadium with impressive sports facilities, an Olympic-size swimming pool, badminton courts, basketball courts, etc. It also has two cricket and football pitches.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful but their teaching is not at all good. Students are not happy with teachers. Some teachers take 3-4 days leave in a week. Otherwise, the college is good. Semester exams are a little tough and the pass percentage is 57%.

IIT Gandhinagar is good.

Placements: About 60% of the students got placed in the last batch. The highest salary package offered is about 15 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is about 4 LPA and the average salary package offered is about 7 LPA. Top companies include DRDO, HPCL, etc. More than 80% of the students got an internship in companies. Both academic and industrial internships are available.

Infrastructure: It is one of the new IITs. Hence infrastructure is very good. For the chemical department, different labs and classrooms are available. The library has sufficient reading materials for the chemical department. All others like hostel and food are rated as 4 stars. For games and sports, a brand new complex had built which is still to open due to covid.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders from top universities of the world. Faculty members are very good in terms of teaching quality and are knowledgeable. The course is more relevant to the academic career like who wants to go deep in research and that area. It provides sufficient industrial knowledge.

Other: It's really good college.

The best college in the gandhinagar.

Placements: No placements to our class don't have a good hut placement its okay. Ita not a big dill. The highest salary cols so loss. I think maybe 40 percent student salary offered and college internship. It's not useful its a slow placement. And not a good opportunity.

Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi. Labs no useable under teachers guidance. Classrooms not clean but it's our small responsibility. Medical facilities are available. Sports and games are useable. And also events seminar. Available. Canteen not good. It's ok. Hostel rooms so bad. Poor very poor.

Faculty: Teachers they helpful but teaching it's not completely. Teaching method good but task don't have. The student is not happy with teachers some teachers leave in week 3-4 days and after then our course is back but just a topic in teacher otherwise college very good.

Other: Campus crowd is all day same.
