IIT Gandhinagar MSc Highlights 2026
MSc at IIT Gandhinagar is offered as a regular full-time programme of a two-year duration across four specialisations. Admission to this course is based on IIT JAM followed by CCMN counselling except for Cognitive Science specialisation. Candidates seeking admission to MSc Cognitive Science must appear for a written test conducted by the institute.IIT Gandhinagar also offers Early Admit MSc in three specialisations. - BSc and BTech students from select colleges and NITs, respectively who will graduate last year and are among the top five rank holders in the departments at the end of their pre-final year and final year are eligible to apply for Early Admit MSc.
- BTech students from IITs who will graduate last year with a CPI/ CGPA of not less than 6.0 at the end of their third year are also eligible to apply

IIT Gandhinagar MSc admission takes place through the IIT JAM entrance exam and CCMN Counselling. Candidates can follow the step-by-step guide given below to apply for admission to the MSc programme at the university:
STEP 1: Apply for IIT JAM entrance exam
To apply for admission into the programme candidates have to apply for IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters through the exam website. Candidates also need to pay an application fee (non-refundable) in online mode only. Candidates can have a look at the documents required through the list below:
