IIT Mandi MA Eligibility & Highlights 2024
IIT Mandi offers a MA course in Development Studies specialisation. Admission to the programme is done on the basis of merit in the entrance examination conducted by the institute followed by an interview round. Candidates seeking admission can apply for MA at IIT Mandi by filling out the online application within the due date.
MA in Development Studies is a two-year programme offered at the PG level. The courses is divided into four semesters. Find below the MA eligibility, selection criteria and fee:

Eligibility: Candidates who have qualified for the award of a three/ four-year bachelor's degree (BA, BSc, BTech or equivalent), after Class 12 or equivalent schooling, from a recognised university or institute with at least 55% aggregate (or 6.0 CGPA on a scale 10) are eligible to apply for MA programme. Students belonging to reserved categories will get relaxation as per institute rules. Selection criteria: Entrance Exam (60% weightage) + Personal Interview (40% weightage) |

Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can fill out the application form by visiting the IIT-M official website (iitmandi.ac.in). Aspirants further need to take the entrance test conducted by the institute followed by a personal interview round. The weightage of the exam score is 60% and for the interview is 40%. Based on candidates' performance in both the selection rounds, seat allotment is carried out.
MA fees is INR 20,000. Candidates opting for hostel facilities will have to pay charges up to INR 88,000. This fee is calculated as per the first year/semester fees and hence the actual fee may vary.

IIT Mandi BTech registrations start with the release of JEE Main application forms. The registrations for JEE session one goes on from Oct till Nov, a year prior to the admission session. While the registrations for session two are carried out in February. Candidates who pass JEE Mains need to apply
