IIT Palakkad Courses and Fees 2024
Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad admission 2024 is primarily entrance-based. IIT Palakkad offers 31 courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels through 11 departments. IIT Palakkad MSc cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1, wherein, M.Sc. in Mathematics is the most competitive specialsiation with a closing rank of 102 for the General AII India category students. The least competitive course is M.Sc. in Physics with a cutoff rank of 614. So, candidates seeking admission to any of the MSc course must secure a rank upto 614 to be eligible for IIT Palakkad
IIT Palakkad admissio to the MSc course is based on IIT JAM scores, followed by IIT JAM counselling process. Only candidates in the JAM 2024 Merit List based on JAM 2024 scorecard will be eligible to apply for admission.
It is mandatory to have minimum 75% marks (65% for reserved category) in class 12 to take admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates should apply for JoSAA conselling only if they fulfill all the conditions of eligibility. However, many institutes admit students on the basis of JEE Main where there is no requirement of minimum marks in class 12.
The dates for JoSAA counselling 2026 choice filling will be announced once the result of JEE Main 2026 is declared. Candidates can fill choices only during the choice filling period. Also, candidates need to lock their choices before the last date.

IIT Palakkad has been ranked 64th under the 'Engineering' category by the NIRF Ranking 2025. This is one of the reputed colleges in India. Established in 2015, IIT Palakkad is one of the third generation IITs in India. IIT Palakkad is currently being mentored by IIT Madras.
