All About IIT IIM Dual Degree Courses

Some Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) offer special programs that combine a Bachelor’s degree in Technology with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. These programs are a collaboration between IITs and Indian Institutes of Management.

In these dual degree courses, students can complete their BTech at an IIT and, if they meet certain academic performance criteria, move directly into an MBA program at an IIM without having to take Common Admission Test , which is usually required for MBA admissions.

To participate, students must first take Joint Entrance Examination Advanced to get into a BTech program at one of participating IITs. They need to maintain a specified academic record during their BTech studies, and if they do well, they will be eligible to transition into MBA program at an IIM by  time they finish their BTech degree. This pathway offers a streamlined route for students looking to combine technical skills with business knowledge.
