IIT Palakkad - Indian Institute of Technology Scholarships and Funding
Merit-Cum-Means scholarships, Institute free studentships, and Scholarships for SC/ST are available to the students of IIT Palakkad, as per the Government of India norms.
1. SC/ST scholarship awarded to SC/ST students whose parental income less than Rs.4.5 Lakhs per annum
Eligibility: Parental Annual Income Rs.4.5 Lakhs (renewal every semester – subject to a minimum GPA of 5 in the passed subjects).
Tuition Fees: Exemption from the payment of tuition fees.
Mess Charges: Free Messing – Basic Menu
Pocket Allowance: Rs.250/- per month
Hostel Seat Rent: Waiver
2. Institute Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship:
a) MCM scholarship is awarded to 25% of the admitted students of GE/BC-NCL students
Eligibility: Parental Annual Income Rs.4.5 Lakhs (renewal every semester – subject to a minimum GPA of 5 in the passed subjects).
Tuition Fees: Exemption from the payment of tuition fees.
Allowance: Rs.1000/- per month
b) Prof. Valsakumar Memorial Scholarships for M.Sc. Physics Students.
i. Merit Award for one student with a certificate of appreciation and Rs. 5000/- prize money.
ii. Prof. Valsakumar Merit cum Means Scholarship for one student of Rs.35000/- per semester.
3. Institute Free Studentship:
Free studentship: Beyond the 25% limit, for a further 10% of the admitted GE/BC-NCL students.
Eligibility: Parental Annual Income ? Rs.4.5 Lakhs (renewal every semester – subject to a minimum GPA of 5 in the passed subjects).
Tuition Fees: Exemption from the payment of tuition fees, irrespective of parental income and performance.

Placements: As 70% of graduates got placed on campus, from them 73% of students got placed in core companies like Dell, LG Electronics, Hyundai, and the rest of them got hired in their passionate roles like banking, software roles. There are no certain limitations for the students to participate in any of the companies arriving on the campus.
Placements: Considering it was a realistic emerging scope, there will be massive offers available for the specific disciplines, with the top offers of 17.8 LPA. Companies like MathWorks, Adobe, and Morgan Stanley are ready to hire. The students from this academic background. One of the demanding courses with the best offers.
Placements: Around 70-80% of students got placements in recent years. The highest package in this course is approximately 36 LPA, average package is around 15 LPA - 17 LPA, and the lowest package is below 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, TCS, BNY Mellon, Infosys, etc. Top roles offered are embedded system engineer, hardware design engineer, control system engineer, etc.
Placements: Recruitment at the college is good. This year, our seniors are the first batch to sit through the placements. Top companies like ABB, BHEL, NTPC, etc., visit the university. 90% of the students get an internship from our college. The salary range offered is Rs 24,000 to Rs. 30,000. Approximately, 95% of the students are placed. Top roles offered are electrical engineer, power systems engineer, and so on.
Placements: The enrollment rate in our study is 86%. The average package is about 19 LPA. The top companies that hire civil engineers are Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Lupin Limited, Tata Chemicals, etc. Research scientist, professor, etc., are the top roles offered. Each student has internship opportunities.
Placements: Firstly, the most talented M.Sc. graduates got hired by the college as assistant professors. Also, the interested graduates are permitted to participate in the company drives that commonly occur. Blockrock offers the highest pay for students in the role of finance and banking.

The MCM Scholarship is given to 25% of high-achieving students with an annual family income of less than INR 4.5 L. It provides a full tuition fee waiver (INR 1 Lacs per semester) as well as a monthly pocket allowance of INR 1,000.
