• For permanent employees of Government R&D labs, educational institutions, Government Organizations, Government industry, and PSUs/State undertakings
• For employees of Private organisations/industries/Educational institutions with at least three years standing (i.e., established at least five years before the last date of applying for PhD (Part-time) admission as per the advertisement) with membership in CII/ASSOCHEM or any other equivalent membership
• Regular Staff of IIITDM Kurnool with at least three years of experience

Yes, the date for JEST 2025 Exam was June 22, 2025. It is a national-level exam,which is held once a year for students who want to study subjects like, Physics and Theoretical Computer Science.

Yes, IIITDM Kurnool offers a PhD programme. It is a doctoral programme offered in both full-time and part-time modes. Moreover, under this programme, the institute offers a variety of courses, including a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering, a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, etc.

Scholars get a minimum of three years and a maximum of six years to complete the programme. Moreover, the total tuition fee to be paid for the PhD courses is INR 1.4 lakh.

If you belong to the SC All India quota, a few courses would be available to you such as such as M.Tech in  Drones and IoT with the last round cutoff score being 256, M.Tech in Robotics and Automation with a qualifying score of 269, etc. It would be difficult to get admission to any specialisation if you belong to the General AI category or the OBC AI quota, as their cutoff score closed at 413 and 367, respectively.  CCMT cutoff 2025 for ST All India Quota:

IIITDM Kurnool cutoff 2025 offered BTech and BTech Integrated courses via the JEE Main exam. The institute has released the cutoff for all rounds and categories belonging to the All India category. 

For the General AI category, admissions were closed at a rank of 94749. Hence, these students need to attain a rank of at least 94749 to be eligible for admission. 

On the other hand, the OBC AI category students needed to have a rank below 103216. The SC and ST All India categories needed a rank below 204100 and 244049, respectively. Students who belong to the EWS and PWD AI quota need a rank below 102838 and 880508, respectively.

Applicants who have a BE/ BTech degree with a good academic record will be offered direct admission to PhD programme if they have pursued BTech from IIT with a CGPA of 8 or a valid GATE score or have a BE/ BTech with a valid GATE score from any other university with a CGPA of 8/ 75% aggregate (General/ OBC) and a CGPA of 7.5/ 70% aggregate (SC/ST/ PwD) or a BE/ BTech from a well-known R&D organisation with a CGPA of 6.5/ 60% aggregate.

• Part-time PhD admission:

Masters/ MS (by Research) degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Mathematics/ Physics/ English in the appropriate branch of study with a minimum of 60% aggregate or a CGPA of 6.5 (out of 10) in UG and PG.
