IIITDM Kurnool BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025

The IIITDM Kurnool BTech is a four-year undergraduate degree course, divided into eight semesters, and offered in full-time mode. The primary eligibility requirement for admissions to BTech courses is that candidates must complete their Class 12 from the PCM stream with an aggregate of 75%. Additionally, for IIITDM Kurnool BTech admission, the institute accepts relevant scores from JEE Mains, followed by JoSAA/ CSAB counselling.

IIITDM Kurnool BTech courses are available in certain specialisations, such as BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering (Design & Manufacturing), Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in Design and Manufacturing, etc. Candidates can change their branch after the first semester of the course, as per the Institute norms. It has good infrastructure and good faculty. Improvement is needed in placements. It is good.

Placements: The placement percentage is good. Compared to the previous year, this year our seniors have received nice offers. Almost 4 members got a package of above 50 LPA. Companies that visit our campus for placements are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Deloitte, Amazon, IBM, Capgemini, and L&T.

Infrastructure: Facilities in our hostel are good. Rooms are well-ventilated. The other hostel construction is going on now, which is expected to be available by 2026. Washrooms are hygienic in the hostel. For girls, Wi-Fi and LAN connections are provided. For boys, only a LAN connection is provided, which has a very good internet speed. There is a TV room which contains chess, carrom board, table tennis, and a TV with a good seating area. There is also a salon in the hostel. The mess food is good. Hygiene is maintained. Medical facilities are available. Sports facilities are actually top-notch compared to any other IITs.

Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant, and they have made changes this year to make it more relevant. Some courses have been removed for us, which were there for seniors. Exams are neither very easy nor very tough. I would say they are moderate and good enough. Faculty members are very good.

Good college with good campus life.

Placements: 58% of students are placed. The highest salary is 28 LPA. The lowest salary is 3 LPA, and the average salary is 12 LPA. Top recruiters are Amazon, Flipkart, Infosys, Wipro, etc. Internships are very rarely given to our students by the faculty members and encourage to try students on their own which is sometimes hard to find.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities of this institute are good with good maintenance and proper facilities like lift, etc. Like the most essential things fan, cot, study table, and chair are provided with proper ventilation. Most importantly the washrooms are cleaned by housekeeping staff every 3 days. There are 3 hostels for boys and 1 hostel for girls. Taking about mess, food is okay not too great because the tenders keep changing every 3 months so sometimes on some days the food is good, sometimes bad. The canteen food tastes good. Hospital facilities are there inside and sports facilities are best.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and always available to clarify doubts. They are supportive and good at teaching. The course curriculum is industry ready and relevant. Few exams are very easy, and few are tough. Pass percentage depends on students for each subject (relatively).

Other: Computer science and engineering is my course. The location of our campus is a disadvantage that I wish to improve. There is a Techno-cultural fest that happens every year, and festival events happen quite often. Campus is around 191 acres. The crowd is approximately 1200 including faculty members.

Placements: 80% of students were placed in their courses. The highest package is 1.03 CrPA and the average package for the employee is 8.3 LPA. The top recruiting company is Flipkart, 87% percent of students got an internship in their final year.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the academic blocks, library, and laboratories. The infrastructure in the institute is excellent. The quality of food in the mess is okay. A sports complex is also available in the institute itself.

Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The faculty available in the institute is from top IIT and some came from the top companies. The course curriculum is relevant. Students were industry-ready. The difficulty level for the end semester is moderate to difficult. The pass percentage for the semester exam is around 70% and it's difficult.

Mixed experience at IIITDM, Kurnool.

Placements: In 2022-23 out of 81 students registered for placements 55 secured jobs resulting in 59 % placements. These were just on-campus placements but in the case of off-campus, the results are much higher. The highest package ever received from this institute is 1.3 crore per annum.

Infrastructure: All facilities that a common student needs are easily fulfilled by the administration of the institute. Classrooms are properly maintained, neat, and clean. College has Wi-Fi which works over all the entire campus area. The 2 phases of construction have been completed successfully now the work of the third phase has been started.

Faculty: Three teachers and the faculty staff present here are very supportive. They guide us in every aspect of the way we want. They always want the better ship of the students present here. Semester exams are conducted very sincerely which brings out the quality students from the campus.

Other: I chose mechanical engineering because I had a developing mindset and I am a person who always wants to create something new and better for the upcoming time. I wish there were a little bit more highly advanced machinery on our campus so that it could give me a helping hand in making future brighter.

Infrastructure is good, placements are improving day by day, and fully satisfied with my faculties.

Placements: Many renowned companies are visiting our campus and selecting 6 to 7 students from each branch. So far, the average package has gone up to 10 LPA, with the highest package reaching 32 LPA. Companies like Nvidia and Amazon, etc. Have visited, and many seniors have secured internship and got jobs.

Infrastructure: From my point of view, you are provided with 24/7 internet access. For projects, there are many labs and workshops for each department, and the library is open until midnight. In the hostel, you get 24-hour internet access, a mineral water cooler, and the mess food is average. Currently, there is only one canteen, but in the next two months, three more food shops in terms of food. If I talk about sports. There is a one cricket ground with nets, a one football ground, two volleyball courts, and three badminton courts.

Faculty: Since I am from the Mechanical Department, our faculty members are very supportive and kind to us. All of them have completed their Ph.D. from IITs and NITs. As we all know, the courses offered generally lack practical applications, so I would say the course curriculum is not very relevant. You will not face much difficulty in semester exams if you study according to your professor’s guidelines, and you will pass with good grades. The passing percentage is 33%.

Other: I chose this institute only because of the IIIT tag. I believe IIIT Kurnool is the second largest IIIT in terms of area. In the next 4 to 5 years, this institute will provide better placements compared to now. There are many events and fests where you can showcase your skills. The seniors are very supportive, and they have started clubs for juniors to participate in, such as music, dance, art, gaming, and coding, as well as to work on projects.

Placements: The institute for placements and academics is very well. The percentage of students placed is higher than in other courses. The highest package is 1.03 crores per annum. The average is around 8.3 LPA. The Recruiting companies are Google, Amazon, and Wipro.

Infrastructure: In hostel, we have different sharing of rooms like 2,3, and 1.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in improving curriculum and skills. They have lots of knowledge in their particular course. They are well-qualified and have high standards. The course I choose is ECE and it is very relevant. It makes the students relevant. The faculty members in my institute are so much good and well-qualified. They came from different backgrounds like some came from top IITs and some came from big companies who worked with Soul for those companies.

Other: The course has good life in this generation. This institute has a special fest in February known as Solasta.
