IIT Tirupati BTech Courses & Fees 2026: Admission, Eligibility, Placements, Seats

As per the latest report, the IIT Tirupati CSE average package offered to BTech students stood at INR 25.25 LPA. The key highlights of IIT Tirupati BTech CSE and MTech CSE placements 2023 are presented below:

Out of all the BTech specialisations offered by IIT Tirupati, Computer Science and Engineering has the most competitive closing cutoff in 2025 compared to the rest. Students are required to apply via JEE Main website followed by JEE Advanced application for IIT Tirupati BTech programme. The process of application for JEE Main 2024 has three major steps, i.e registration, form filling & document upload followed by payment of application fees.

Step 1: Open the official website of JEE Main and click on the ‘Registration for JEE (Main) 2024’ link.

Step 2: Fill out the registration form with the required information followed by clicking on the submit button.

Step 3: Fill out the application form and upload scanned images along with all the required documents.

Step 4: Pay the application fees and submit the form.

JEE Advanced 2026 result will be out in June 2026.

Candidates can check and download the JEE Advanced 2026 scorecard under their respective login on jeeadv. ac. in. To Download JEE Advanced 2026 scorecard, candidates have to use 7-digit roll number, date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format, and the 10-digit phone number that they used while registering for JEE (Advanced).

Also, category-wise All India Ranks (AIR) of successful candidates will be available through the JEE Advanced 2026 online portal after the results are declared. Text messages will also be sent to the candidates to their registered mobile numbers.

Only those candidates who will secure minimum marks in JEE Advanced 2026, as prescribed by the IITs will be included in the AIR list for JoSAA counselling and IIT admissions. Allotment of seats will be solely based on the category-wise All India Rank in the JEE Advanced 2026.

The exam date for JEE Advanced 2026 has been announced. IIT Roorkee is the organising institute for JEE Advanced exam 2026. The exam was held on May 17, 2026.

For the last year, i.e., 2023, the closing rank for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering was 3701 which is very close to this range. This was for General category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission, however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIT Tirupati - Indian Institute of Technology.

JoSAA has released the opening and closing ranks for Round 6 Seat Allotment. JoSAA R6 closing rank for IIT Tirupati B.Tech in CSE is 4011. With the release of JoSAA Round 6 Seat Allotment result, IIT Tirupati admission 2023 to BTech course has been concluded. Candidates seeking admission 2024 to IIT Tirupati must appear and meet the cutoff marks for JEE Main and JEE Advanced in order to be finally eligible for JoSAA Counselling. IIT Tirupati cutoff 2023 for BTech CSE closed at 3445, while in 2022 it closed at 3746 and in 2021 at 3296 for Round 1 Seat Allotment. IIT Tirupati CSE cutoff 2026 is based on candidates' performance in the JEE Advanced entrance exam, followed by JoSSA counselling. In Round 1, the CSE closing rank was 5342 for the General AI category. In 2025, the first-round closing rank for the same branch was 4620, while in 2024 it was 4469. So, considering the three years closing ranks, JEE Advanced has not seen any drop in the CSE closing ranks during Round 1 admission.
