IIT Tirupati BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
IIT Tirupati BTech is a four-year programme across five specialisations namely, BTech in Chemical Engineering, BTech in Mechanical Engineering, BTech in Electrical Engineering etc. IIT Tirupati BTech admission is subject to a valid score in JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams. Moreover, aspirants are required to go through the counselling process conducted by JoSAA for final seat allotment.
The seat allotment is based on the institute cut-off and a candidate's preference for courses and colleges. The registration and choice filling of JoSAA 2025 generally begins in the third week of June in online mode.

IIT Tirupati Admission Dates 2025
IIT Tirupati admissions for BTech begin with registration for JEE Main. The exam is usually conducted in two sessions. IIT Tirupati BTech Admission 2025: How to Apply?
IIT Tirupati BTech course admission is entrance-based. Candidates need to qualify for JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced to appear for JoSAA Counselling. Candidates must begin with registration for JEE Main. Find below the step-wise IIT Tirupati BTech admission process:
STEP 1: IIT Tirupati BTech Application Process 2025
To apply for BTech at IIT Tirupati, students are required to apply via the JEE Main website followed by the JEE Advanced application. The process of application for JEE Main 2025 has three major steps, i.e. registration, form filling and document upload followed by payment of application fees.
Step 1.1: Open the official website of JEE Main (jeemain.nta.nic.in) and click on the ‘Registration for JEE (Main) 2025’ link.
Step 1.2: Fill out the registration form with the required information followed by clicking on the submit button.
Step 1.3: Fill out the application form and upload scanned images of all the required documents.
Step 1.4: Pay the application fees and submit the form.
The JEE Main application form is automatically submitted after the successful payment of application fees.

Before JEE Main 2025 registration, students must keep the following documents and information ready for a smooth application process:
- Valid email id and mobile number
- Academic details related to the Class 10 and Class 12 qualifying exams
- Scanned copy of the category certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned copy of the PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned photograph and signature as per the specification mentioned by the NTA
- Net banking/ credit card/ debit card/ UPI details for application fee payment
After qualifying for JEE Main, aspirants seeking admission to IIT Tirupatiare required to apply for JEE Advanced. The JEE Advanced application form is available on its official website.
STEP 2: IIT Tirupati BTech Entrance Exams
After filling out the JEE Main application form, Candidates need to first qualify for JEE Main. With a valid JEE Main score, the next step is to register and appear for JEE Advanced. Aspirants qualifying for both entrance exams are required to register for JoSAA Counselling.
STEP 3: IIT Tirupati BTech JoSAA Counselling & Seat Allotment
Later on, the JEE Main cutoffs are released for the selected candidates. Candidates who register for JoSAA Counselling will be offered seats via the counselling process. Candidates will be offered admission based on the choices filled by them and JEE Main AIR 2025 through the JEE Main seat allocation process.
