Faculty is good, but there are not that many placements coming.
Placements: Companies like Tata, Jindal, and L&T come with a decent package, but there is high competition. You need to be highly prepared if you really want to get engaged just after finishing college. If you study hard in this college, you can absolutely touch 9 CGPA.
Infrastructure: In the hostel, there is a lift, Wi-Fi, and 6 days of nonveg food in a week, and the hostel has a big area with its own playground and a badminton court. There is also a common room, a playroom, and a TV room available inside the hostel. If you want, you can live 3 in a room, if you want, you can also live 2 in a room, and if you want, you can also live alone.
Faculty: Faculty is very supportive, and they will help you in your studies in a very good way. Pass percentage is basically high & exams are hard, but if you study properly in class, it wont look tough. Its an autonomous institution, so if you do class work properly, you can easily score in the exams.
Other: Functions are top notch level, and its a function freindly college, you will get to see so many functions during your graduation time.

Something is better than nothing. So our college is something but not the best thing !
Placements: Placement is the sector in which our college needs to improve. I do agree our geographical location is also a reason for the less number of companies coming to our. And if I go branch specific then our branch has the best percentage of placement among our college. But the think is that it's not just the amount of students who are getting placed it's about the amount of package they are getting paid for. In that section I think our college should improve. But still it's work in progress and increasing day by day !at the present time it is okay.
Infrastructure: Like place this portion is 50-50. yes we have one new academic building for classes with facilities like cctv, digital finger printing, lift still under construction. Yes the building is bigger in space but not that big to fill all the branch academics as well lab practicals. So for lab practicals we have to go to old building where half of the instruments are missing half of the instruments are broken. So we have to manage in that section which can be improved. But just like placements it's also improving as our college has be sanctioned to be doomed as an university. So hoping for the best. Then about hostels. I am a day scholar so can not give a brief description about it but it is also 50-50. so hostels are new and good while some of them are old where there is scope of improvement.
Faculty: I would have rated it above average but one think pulled me back which is it's curriculum which needs improvement. Yes the teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. But I do not think the curriculum makes us totally industry ready. Then coming to semester exams. I myself believe that it is easy to pass the semesters without any problem.

Old college and good faculty. Infrastructure needs to be improved.
Placements: 50% students are placement. The highest package is 8 LPA, average is 6.5 LPA and the lowest is 3.2 LPA. Top recruiters are TATA, BSL and ADANI as core and Infosys, Wipro and TCS as non-core. 70% students got internship in government steel plants from metallurgy branch.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is provided in classrooms as we as in library. The quality of food is very hygienic. There is a garden, sports club, etc. In hostels, a dispensary is available for medical emergencies. Gym equipment are also present. A badminton coach is there.
Faculty: All the teachers are passouts from NITs and IITs. Semester exams are quite difficult but if you study properly then you won’t have any problem. Pass percentage is about 93. If you get a backlog then you will have reappear for that exam in the next academic year.
Other: We are the 39th metallurgy branch of our college. The course is too old and but the faculty members are very supportive. The practical labs need to improve.

It would have been better if there would have been more hostels.
Placements: Placements in our college are good enough and about 70% of the students get placed. Nalco and other such companies come with a great salary package for placements. We get internships and get trained in these companies to get a better experience for fieldwork. Our college supports us wholeheartedly.
Infrastructure: Our college boasts of having a fully developed infrastructure for training the students for their subjects. Even though hostels aren't enough for the students the existing quarters are well maintained.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive, and they provide us with their valuable time to clear our doubts.

Review of Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology.
Placements: Almost 60% of students were placed last year, and this year, 40% of students have already been placed. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the average package is between 4-5 LPA. The lowest package was 3.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TATA, Hindalco, TCS, Essar, AM/NS etc. 10 students got internships in TATA with pre-placement offers. The roles offered here are management trainee engineer etc.
Infrastructure: We have 4 individual hostels for boys of different years and 2 hostels for girls. We have air-conditioned rooms. The warden is very good. The rooms have all the necessary facilities. It is a must that our hostel always remains clean. Two people are given accommodation in a room. We have a central library, Wi-Fi, theater, halls etc. We also have hi-tech labs and equipment. We also have a canteen. The college supports us to perform all kinds of activities by creating clubs for each interest.
Faculty: Our teachers are well qualified and helpful. They teach in a very friendly manner and are very knowledgeable. The curriculum is very hard, and the marking is very strict. Qualifying from here means that you are one of the toppers.

Infrastructure: There are 4 separate hostels for all the years of the course for boys, and there are 2 hostels for girls. Rooms are highly equipped with all the necessary facilities. Two students are provided accommodation together. There is a central library, Wi-Fi on the campus, theatre, halls, etc. There are also hi-tech labs and equipment, and there is also a canteen. Need to improve the placements. Course curriculum keeps on changing with the industrial demands.
Placements: Placements in the last couple of years has been average. Around 30%. Most of the companies recruit from core branches. Average package is around 3 lac per annum. Tata Steel, Vedanta, Jindal come around for the placement. 90% of students got internships in Nalco, Sail, Jindal.
Infrastructure: New machines and Wi-Fi is needed in the department. A new computer lab is needed in the department where new software related to metallurgy can be learned and practised. Quality of food is decent enough. Sports and games culture is very good. You can play any sport you want.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good. Teachers are well learnt and are capable enough. Teaching is done through various slides and PPT presentation. I think the course is pretty good and it keeps on changing with the industrial demands and researches.
Other: Campus is very good. You feel close to nature because of the rivers and jungles. Nothing from outside can disturb you in your studies. Events are good and lively.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is huge, and the college is located amidst the natural beauty. The Wi-Fi connectivity is very good on the main campus. The labs and classrooms are well-furnished, and the library is the best place to study.
Faculty: The faculty members and the permanent members of the college are awesome as they never failed to share their experience with the students. They are knowledgeable, and they use teaching methods which makes the students understand the concepts easily.
Other: The college organises fests regularly. We get a very good response from the crowd during the fest.
