It is a decent college with a high return.
Placements: About 85 students get placed in companies like TCS, TCE, Amazon, Mail, Deloitte, etc. About 77% of students got internships in the 3rd year. Assistant managers are the top roles offered in my course. Our students perform activities like hackathons and special events.
Infrastructure: Above-average facilities are available here. The quality of food is very good. Sport facilities are average. Mess and canteen quality is good, but not excellent. Medical facilities are very good. Our college owns a personal ambulance for emergencies. The library is excellent in our college. From the 2nd year, classrooms are attached to AC. But in 1st year, there is no AC.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful and qualified. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate tough. About 97% of students pass semester exams. Some teachers are very rude, but they help a lot with studies. The course curriculum is also tough, but not like IITs.
Other: I got 2,76,030 rank in JEE Main, so I got a civil engineering course in my college. About 70% of students get placed here. Connection is very good. Xtasy is the event performed in our college. All extracurricular activities are also done on campus.

Good infrastructure is coming rapidly now after the government change.
Placements: There is 80% placement on campus. The highest package is 44 LPA in the Computer Science Engineering department. Similarly, the core branches have get more placements with packages ranging from 8 to 12 LPA, which is why I consider it the best. L and T is the top recruiting company, along with Tata. MD posts are offered, and companies provide better job opportunities. It is also the best government college here in Bhubaneswar.
Infrastructure: There two new hostels are going to be built within the next three months, and the work is very rapidly. Wi-Fi facility is better than that of many nearby colleges. Overall, infrastructural development is going to be booming. A new auditorium is also being built at a rapid pace, and a grand gate for our college is also being built. Labs are good, but some labs to be great by the development of some new techniques because so old methods are used today so some new and advanced features should be included.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful, but some of them are very egoistic towards their position. This happens everywhere, so it's okay. During exams, they are very good towards on their subjects.
Other: Students from my branch who get their farewell this year have secured more jobs in Civil Engineering. Around 40 students get placed in L and T, which is a good figure for any core branch. More fests like to happen for better placements.

Best state government engineering college of Odisha.
Placements: Almost 80%-85% of students got placed in this year in civil engineering branch with the highest salary of 19 LPA. Many companies visit this campus including renowned companies like SPD, Utkal Builders, L&T, etc. In this, course this college offers strong foundation in theoretical knowledge as well as practical projects.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good, clean, and well-maintained with Wi-Fi facilities. Labs are also new and well-maintained with air-conditioner facilities. Also, this college offers a central library as well as a study room with Wi-Fi and air-conditioning facilities. However there are limited seats in the boys hostel so in the first year a maximum number of students stay outside the campus (rent or private hostel), but in the girls hostel, there are enough seats available so almost every girl who applied for hostel gets a seat. Food quality is so good and tasty.
Faculty: Maximum teachers are qualified and knowledgeable and help you with every type of question academic or non-academic, but some teachers are rigid and not knowledgeable as a teacher standard (may be a good student). The curriculum is good it offers coding, and spoken English internship-like courses/facilities which makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are a little bit tough for passing semester exams you have to study at least 15 days earlier, overall pass percentage is around 87%.
Other: First of all, it is located in Bhubaneswar the capital of Odisha so you get every types of connectivity like train, bus, and flight, also it is a well-developed city. The second one is good cultural events like annual fest, tech fest, etc. Also, this campus has good sports facilities like cricket, volleyball, badminton, etc.

Good placements with average life. Value for money but below average infrastructure.
Placements: Approximately 85%-90% of students got placed. The lowest package is 3.36 LPA. The highest package is 25 LPA in the ongoing placement session 2025. Top recruitment companies in civil engineering are basically L&T, Adani, Bajel, JSW, and Tata Consulting Engineering in core, and in non-core it's basically TCE, Cognizant, and Accenture. Approximately 70% of students got internships. University does not provide internships and we have to apply for internships like MCL, RSP, GAIL, OPTCL, NTPC, and DRDO. University also provides permission for internships. Top roles offered in courses are SA and hydrology, part from that one can choose some IT roles.
Infrastructure: Everyone does not get hostel, it is based on your CGPA and rank of JEE main. The infrastructure is not that good. Many things are to be developed by the Government. Wi-Fi is average. Lab is also average and not hi-tech. In lab, you don't get here for research work if you want to continue. In library, you have a card and you can take books. Reading room is also there but that is not more than 70 students capacity. You get smart classrooms and some places are average. Infrastructure is old and small, so you don't get many things.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified in our department. Teaching is good. The course is good, but it has strict exam rules and hard papers. You have to study hard to get marks and score CGPA. Pass percentage is 90%. The average is around 7 CGPA due to strict marking.
Other: I chose this course to learn about infrastructure development and civil engineering. The best thing is that the course is value for money. They provide more training and hands-on skills. Our college should improve its advanced labs. Events and fests are good. We have many clubs and societies for technical and non-technical. You can go for extra curriculum activities also. Annual fest is Xtasy which is the biggest cult fest.

Affordable things come with a price as well.
Placements: About 40% of students are placed in my course. The highest package provided is by PRADAN, at around Rs.7,50,000. The lowest package provided is by TCS, at Rs.3,45000, and the average package is around Rs.4,00,000. The top recruiting company for my course is L&T. About 50% of students get internships in my course, with most of them being government internships. The top role offered in my course is site engineer.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for my course are not great, as it is a Tier-3 government college. The Wi-Fi provided doesn’t work in many spots on the campus and is very slow. Labs are not very clean. Classrooms provided are fairly good. The library is spacious and well-maintained. Hostel facilities are also not very good. Washing machines have not been working since the day I joined the college. The food quality is very average. There are hardly any medical facilities available. Sports and game events are good.
Faculty: Teachers are cooperative, but some of them just read out content from the slides, so the teaching quality can be improved. The course curriculum is relevant. It provides both practical and theoretical knowledge required for practical life. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that difficult if you have prepared thoroughly. The pass percentage is 40.
Other: I chose this course because, from a young age, I have been interested in infrastructure and buildings. The best thing about my course is that it requires an innovative and creative mind. I wish the practical labs and curriculum were more focused. There are two annual fests in our college, which is a technical fest, and Xtasy, which is a cultural event. The campus crowd is good. There are many college clubs for dance, acting, singing, and sports such as badminton, basketball, cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, etc.

According to your rank, you cannot get government college. You can take admission in good private colleges otherwise you appear for JEE Mains next year.
