Commonly asked questions
On All Courses
Q:   Are NCERT books enough to cover CUET syllabus?
A:

As per NTA, the CUET UG syllabus adheres to the NCERT syllabus. Hence, it can be assumed that the NCERT books are enough to cover the syllabus of the CUET UG exam. Candidates must note that the CUET exam tests students' understanding of the subject concepts and ability to apply them in various situations.

Therefore, to prepare well and get a good score, it is advised that students refer to other study materials and books designed for national-level competitive entrance exams. The CUET UG syllabus is similar with the Class 12 Board exam syllabus. The chapters and topics are similar to Class 12 syllabus. Unlike other UG entrance exams, CUET UG syllabus does not include Class 11 syllabus.

Usually the companies that come to my campus recruit students from commerce department and not from humanities so there was no on campus placement for our seniors.

Perfect place for a passionate student who wants to enjoy and make their student life productive.
Placements: JMC has a considerable placement report. In 2025, the highest placement reached 27 LPA for Economics Honours. The college ranks among the top 5 colleges in DU in terms of placements. Most people get placed from the college itself, so they don't need to worry on their own.
Infrastructure: It is one of the most beautiful campuses in the entire Delhi University. It remains extremely clean and looks very pretty during the autumn season. Hostel facilities are not available at JMC, which is the only problem with the college, so students have to manage their own PGs and hostel accommodations.
Faculty: The teachers are really knowledgeable and passionate, and the teaching quality is good, but you have to put in effort from your end to get exceptional grades. My course is extremely relevant, as it perfectly integrates Economics with Mathematics. For semester exams, you can refer to the DU readings.
Other: It is a great college to choose for your undergraduate studies.

Amazing Psychology Department.
Placements: Not many options are available if you are studying psychology. It is not an issue on the placement cell's end because most people prefer pursuing a master's degree in psychology. One thing they could improve is providing internships for psychology students, just as they do for other departments.
Infrastructure: The campus is very pretty. There are good facilities for sports, especially the college gym. However, the classrooms lack air conditioning, and you don't get network coverage in many areas. Additionally, the Wi-Fi does not work that well a lot of the time. The food in the canteen is affordable and edible.
Faculty: The faculty is amazing in psychology. The department focuses on many areas beyond the curriculum. A lot of skill-building sessions happen regularly. The exams are pretty easy to handle.
Other: Overall, there is no better place if you want to pursue psychology at DU. Being at JMC teaches you a lot, and you meet amazing people here. The culture is really progressive. Additionally, the area around the campus is pretty safe and beautiful. Our annual fest, Catharsis, is one of the best events related to psychology.

This college and faculty are really nice. Placement is decent, and the infrastructure is the best.
Placements: Since retail management and IT implementation in NEP, it doesn't have much of a record. It is a very expensive course and is not worth the cost. It has a separate placement cell, yet the course itself is too weak to provide any placements to the students. On the website, it's been said that it's a practical subject and job-oriented, but that's a lie. The only thing you do here is make assignments and mug up chapters just like any other theoretical subjects.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of JMC is 10 on 10. Very nice ventilated classrooms. Great ecosystem, and in all seasons, the environment supports it well. The library is followed by the ground floor and 1st floor, which is not a great space, it gets too crowded. The canteen of this college is the worst place, too expensive, too hygienic, and has no taste in food.
Faculty: Faculty is nice, but I think the problem is with the course. The course curriculum needs some relevant implementation. Exams of this particular course are also a joke, with very easy repetitive questions. That's why this course really needs some changes in its curriculum.

Really amazing infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Many top companies come to recruit from JMC like the Big 4s, Brain, BCG and many more MNCs. In my course, students are offered various roles depending on the combination and domain, the placement opportunities are really insightful and helpful. The highest salary package offered this year was 24.3LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is extremely really good, and the campus is beautiful. It is full of flowers. Classrooms and computers labs are very well maintained. The food at the canteen is just too good at very affordable price with decent quantity and cleanliness. The library is also very good and it is a 3 storied library with air-conditioners. The gym is also really nice with all the equipment available.
Faculty: Some teachers are really good and some a bit rigid. But overall our teachers are knowledgeable and someone you could really learn a lot from. The semester exams are good ranging from moderate to difficult. The pass percentage is high. The course curriculum is really good.

I would highly recommend this college to every girl.
Placements: There is a 90% placement in my course. The average salary package is around 6 LPA with the highest package being 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is around 3.5LPA. The top recruiting companies are KPMG, Deloitte, Indigo, and Accenture. Around 40-50% of students opt for internships. They got placed in startups. Top roles offered are financial analyst and HR manager for my course.
Infrastructure: The college has a 3-floor library which is fully air-conditioned. We have big classrooms with a smart board and Wi-Fi access for college work. There is a big projector in every class for presentations. All the classrooms are under CCTV surveillance. There are big computer labs, healthcare labs, and an advanced medical room. There is no hostel facility in the college, but the canteen food is quite affordable and hygienic, with a great variety of options. There is a big ground for sports and a basketball court.
Faculty: All the teachers are helpful and well-educated with high levels of qualifications. This course curriculum has practical as well as theoretical components, and this makes students ready for practical exposure. Semester exams are not very tough. They are average so that each student can attempt them.

Jesus and Mary College has the best infrastructure but the teaching is the question.
Placements: The placement scenario in the college is pretty average. Companies like Deloitte also recruit from the campus. Average package range from 4 LPA to 6 LPA. Around 40 percent of the students get placement from the college itself so the overall satisfaction remains prevalent.
Infrastructure: According to my course the campus is well-equipped with computer labs and Wi-Fi along with that the library is also pretty good and caters to the needs of the students. The college does not provide hostel facilities for the students. Sports, canteen, and medical are actually very good.
Faculty: The faculty is actually very supportive, qualified, and knowledgeable and ensures standard teaching quality for the students. The curriculum on the other hand does not support real-life challenges and fails to make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are set at a standard level and are pretty decent.
Other: I chose this course just to build a career in the field of economics along with having knowledge of computer programming. The campus life however is truly commendable and provides good learning exposure.
