Usually the companies that come to my campus recruit students from commerce department and not from humanities so there was no on campus placement for our seniors.

JMC is a place where you'll find home not just on campus but in people, too.
Placements: Our college has a placement cell. All the members of it work meticulously to get companies, prepare the members for interviews, and provide internships. Last year, companies like Deloitte, Accenture, etc., came for the interviews. Around 15 people got placement in companies last year. Highest package offered was around 23 LPA, and average package was around 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: JMC is known for its best infrastructure. Our college has two buildings. Both of them are well-maintained and fully furnished. Classrooms are spacious. Our library is also big with best Wi-Fi connectivity. One can get all kinds of books there. The quality isn't up to the mark at JMC's canteen, but the bhel puri stall at JMC is awesome. Medical facilities are available too. JMC has an open gym as well as a fully functional equipment gym. Sports rooms and facilities are also top-notch.
Faculty: Course does prepare you for the real world. Course is not very tough. Teachers try to give you hands-on experience with practical work too. Exams are not too difficult. If you have studied and understood the concepts well, you can ace the exam easily. If the answers are well written and include all important topics, then getting good marks is not difficult at all.

Jesus and Mary College is a green, inclusive hub for academic excellence and holistic growth.
Placements: My college has achieved a percentage of 85-90% in placement. The highest and average package offered by my college is 6 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies for my course were Deloitte, Ernst & Young, etc. 30% of students got internships in my course at Deloitte. Top roles offered in my course are HR-related roles, Consultant, and Analyst positions.
Infrastructure: The campus is beautiful, spacious, and well-constructed. The classrooms are very neat and clean and well-decorated. The benches in the classrooms are always set in a row. The lab rooms are innovative and designed to attract students to gain knowledge.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly and helpful to students. They teach everything with patience and examples to make the concepts clear. This course is very curriculum-relevant. It makes the student ready for every task in life. The exams are not very difficult; they are very easy and short. Also, very little stress is involved. Enough time is given to complete the exam.
Other: I chose this course in JMC because I have an interest in psychology, and JMC offers the best to its students. It has the best professors who are experienced and helpful. I don't think there's anything that I would like to improve. Just one thing to add: the fest organizing team should invite big artists to the event so that the students get the chance to meet their favorite artists. Every event is very fun to attend. All the facilities at the events or fests are well managed by the team.

B.A. (Elective English, History) - Batch of 2024

Limited placement support for B.A. program despite good academics.
Placements: Approximately 20-30% of B.A. program students (English/History electives) were placed through the college's placement cell, though this varied each year. Many students choose to pursue higher education, UPSC/civil services, journalism, or creative fields instead of taking an immediate job.
Infrastructure: JMC did not offer on-campus hostel facilities, outstation students arranged nearby PGs/hostels in Satya Niketan, Vasant Vihar, Moti Bagh, and Munirka. Three dedicated computer laboratories were available. It had one in the multi-purpose hall, with over 80 desktops and 88 laptops, ensuring a 1:1 student and computer ratio for practical sessions.
Faculty: JMC faculty members were mostly Ph.D. holders or NET-qualified. Many were involved in UGC-funded research projects, published in reputed journals, and were invited to national/international conferences. Exams were moderate to challenging, depending on the subject. The arts and commerce courses often focused on conceptual writing and in-depth understanding. Science and psychology had practical components with written exams. Regular internal assessment (tests, projects, presentations) helped students stay on track.
Other: I chose the B.A. program with English and History because I wanted a flexible combination that allowed me to explore both literature and historical analysis. JMC was known for its strong humanities departments, and this course offered a great balance between creativity and critical thinking. Montage was the annual cultural fest of Jesus and Mary College, and it was one of the most awaited and vibrant events in the DU calendar. Usually held in February or March, it brings together students from across Delhi University and other colleges for two days of celebration, creativity, and competition.

B.A. (Hons.) in Sociology - Batch of 2027
4.2

College is totally worth the hype, really good environment and faculty members, bad canteen though.
Placements: Usually, the ones with outstanding resumes are given placements. CGPA plays an important role in deciding whether you will be placed in a good company or not. It is best suitable to aim for 8 and above CGPA. You must try to get into as much internships as possible. In the second year, you get a chance to either choose the SEC subject or do an internship. In my course, sociology honors, we are provided with tons of internships, usually unpaid. However, one can also choose an internship for themselves and then get it confirmed from their teacher in charge.
Infrastructure: Indeed, the best DU campus with full of greenery and cleanliness. Students have access to Wi-Fi. Classrooms are quite spacious, there are no ACs. Library and the Thevenet Hall (auditorium ) are the only space for the students where ACs are available. PGs are usually available at a distance of 2 KM. There is a large basketball and football court. We have a gym area. JMC's major flaw is the canteen. The canteen is very small and congested. The best part of JMC is the bhelpuri, which again is located inside the college, and it is indeed better than the canteen.
Faculty: Sociology department faculty members of JMC are well-known at DU. In terms of teaching, there are phenomenal professors, all having their own ways of teaching. Though, it is obvious that not all professors can be perfect at teaching, even though they have high qualifications. Yet, sociology department is considered as one of the best and unproblematic departments of JMC. Semester 1 went quite smoothly, but there are some problems in semester 2 due to complete syllabus. Yet it was also managed in the last few days. Passing percentage for DU is 63% of all courses.
Other: Choosing sociology honours is purely based on my own interest. Before coming to the college, I did not know that sociology of JMC is appreciated this much. In preference, I considered LSR and then JMC, and I got in JMC. All over JMC is one of the best DU colleges, and I heard that its annual fest (Montage) is very famous. However, this time I am quite disappointed with the fest since no good artists could come, probably it is the fault of student's council and even the head teachers who are managing the fest.

B.Voc. in Health Care Management - Batch of 2025

This is one of the best colleges and courses.
Placements: Almost 90% of students are placed, while the rest either chose not to accept the offer letters or are still confused, resulting in a 100% outcome. The healthcare industry provides experience opportunities; we only have internship experiences. Initially, the packages are average but still justified. Top recruiting companies include MAX, Apollo, Ditto, and Accenture. All students in my course secured internships at hospitals such as Holy Family Hospital, MAX, Fortis, PSRI, Action Balaji, and Birla Fertility and IVF. The top roles offered are TPA, quality, patient care coordinator, HR, supply chain, and front office.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is certainly not available for sports students and faculty. Classrooms are good with high-quality furniture. The campus is not fully air-conditioned, and most areas lack AC. The library is top-notch and well-maintained. Sports facilities and the gym are excellent. The canteen serves good-quality food, including non-vegetarian options.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. Teaching quality is rated 10/10. The curriculum is relevant to the industry and prepares students for the workforce by covering major healthcare subjects designed according to industry standards. Exams are not difficult as we are provided with excellent notes, and professors teach like industry experts—they are either currently working in healthcare or have prior experience. The pass percentage is 30-40%.
Other: I chose this course because the healthcare industry is always in demand. The best part about this course is the exposure and knowledge it provides. It is also more expensive than nearly all other private colleges, costing almost triple or more. I wish there could be a fully air-conditioned campus, but otherwise, everything is great. I don’t see any drawbacks. Events, festivals, campus crowds, surroundings, scholarships, and extracurricular activities are all top-notch and perfectly organized.

B.Voc. in Health Care Management - Batch of 2025

3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Satisfied with my course B.Voc healthcare management.
Placements: Around 50% of students are placed, either through college placements such as Accenture, and Ditto, or Departmental placements like Max (Sake), Apollo Hospital (Sarita Vihar), and Federation of Digital Health Sciences—or through internships. The highest package offered is 5.5 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average ranges from 3.5 to 4 LPA. Each year, 90-100% of students participate in internships, which can be summer or winter based on the semester schedule, often at hospitals like Max, Apollo, Balaji, Fortis, etc. Internships last at least 1-2 months with roles in front office, HR, or coordinator.
Infrastructure: The college has a decent overall infrastructure. Projectors sometimes don't work in every room, so students need to check and switch rooms if needed for presentations, which can be inconvenient. Jesus and Mary College do not have a hostel, so outstation students must find their PG accommodation.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but teaching quality needs improvement. Students become industry-ready mainly through internships since the curriculum is mostly theoretical. Exams are of easy to moderate difficulty. The pass percentage is around 33%, it is the same across Delhi University, but please verify this on the official website.
Other: JMC is a very good college. I chose this course because I wanted to develop skills and gain industry exposure instead of just doing a B.Sc. (Hons). The best part is that you learn about every aspect of healthcare infrastructure. The faculty’s teaching methods need to improve, though. Only Dr. Anupreet Vig was a great teacher and mentor; she has now left the college. The annual fest is mediocre, but the campus crowd is friendly. You can easily get a shared auto for around 20 from Durgabai Deshmukh S. Campus. The college has good infrastructure and good people.
