JIPMER Pondicherry Admission 2025: Dates, Courses, Eligibility, Fees, Application Process

JIPMER Puducherry accepts INICET scores for admission to MD, MS, DM and MCh courses. Yes, the student can get into JIPMER with 75% in 10th and 80% in 12th. JIPMER accepts NEET UG scores for MBBS admission, and doesn't consider 10th and 12th scores if the NEET UG is qualified. However, students need to qualify the eligibility criteria for NEET UG, before filling of the NEET UG examination form. The NEET UG eligibility in respect of 10th and 12th marks is different for different categories of candidates. JIPMER BSc admission cycle shall commence with the release of NEET application forms. It is generally released in March month of the admission year. The application window may get closed by April. Aspirants shall stay updated with important dates to submit form timely. 

NTA is expected to start the NEET 2026 registration in the first week of February. The last date of application is likely to be scheduled for first week of March. NEET 2026 will be conducted in the first week of May.

Earlier, the result of NEET 2024 was declared by NTA on June 4, 2024, 10 days ahead of the original schedule, which was June 14, 2024. NTA released the final NEET answer keys on June 4, prior to the release of the NEET result 2024. The NEET result was declared in an online mode. Candidates have to log in with their registration credentials or application number and date of birth, and download their scorecard in PDF format. NTA also released the merit list containing the name, Roll Number, All India Rank and Percentile of the candidates. Along with the NEET 2024 scorecard, NTA also released the NEET 2024 cutoff marks or the qualifying marks/scores. 

JIPMER MBBS cutoff 2025 was 260 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. Similarly, for the OBC category students, the NEET UG last round closing rank was 748 for admission to the MBBS course. Comparing both categories, the cutoff rank was more competitive for the General category students as compared to the OBC category for MBBS admission. The cutoff trend for medical Courses at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for medical courses under the General category for all India quota was 96638. In 2022, it decreased to 302. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 102725 to 5382 for OBC, 205228 to 46025 for SC, 284382 to 111680 for ST, 93122 to 1060 for EWS and 747213 to 137101 for PWD. 

No, JIPMER Puducherry admit candidates to its MBBS programme based on merit in NEET only. There is no other provision for selection. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted once in a year in offline or paper-pencil based test (PBT) mode. The national-level exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Aspirants can visit its official website to register and apply. In addition to this, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 12.  

JIPMER Puducherry is a highly competitive exam, but it is easier than national-level medical entrance exams like NEET and AIIMS.
