JIPMER Pondicherry Application Process 2026
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research accepts applications via online mode. Students must first register for relevant entrance exam. For MBBS and BSc nursing, students must fill NEET UG application form. The admission form shall be available in offline mode as well. Candidates must fill in all the details in the application carefully. Also, the application must be submitted on or before the deadline.
Release of Merit List
After the conclusion of the application process or before form filling (For some courses such as PDF/ PDCC), the merit list is released by the institute. Aspirants with a score equal to or more than the cutoff marks qualify for the next selection round.
Counselling
The merit list candidates further have to participate in the course counselling round. During this process, the institute may verify the candidate's documents and allot seats. For admission through NEET, students must appear for MCC counselling.
Admission Confirmation
After seat allotment, selected students shall pay the required amount of JIPMER fees to confirm their admission.

Candidates who have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology with a minimum of 50% aggregate along with English as one of the subjects can apply for BSc at JIPMER Puducherry.

JIPMER Pondcherry offers a regular Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme at the PG level. The process for getting into the MBBS programme at JIPMER, Puducherry is given below:

A candidate must possess MBBS degree for MD/MS/DM-6yrs/MCH-6yrs and BDS degree for MDS courses of a University recognised by the National Medical Commission/Medical Council of India as notified by Govt. of India and Dental Council of India respectively and must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training in certain period of time. They must have scored the minimum marks in MBBS/BDS or equivalent examination. Minimum marks for candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories is 50% while for all other categories including OBC/EWS Category, the minimum mark is 55% in aggregate.
To get admission in JIPMER Pondicherry MDS, studnets must be eligible.
