About great campus life and supportive faculty, with decent placements.

Placements: Placements are decent, especially for CSE and IT branches. Many companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and Tech Mahindra visit the campus. Average package ranges from 3 LPA to 4 LPA, with some students getting higher offers through off-campus drives. Placement cell is supportive but can bring more core companies for non-CS branches.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is modern and well-maintained. Labs and classrooms are well-equipped. Wi-Fi is available across the campus. Hostel is clean and safe with good food. The Wi-Fi speed and room maintenance can be improved. Library is large and helpful during exams.

Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable and approachable. They help students with projects and research work. The curriculum follows MAKAUT guidelines and is updated with industry trends. Exams are fair, and internal assessments help maintain good grades if you study regularly.

Other: College has good connectivity from Kalyani station, and the green campus makes it peaceful. There are also scholarship facilities for meritorious and economically weak students.

Review of JIS College of Engineering.

Placements: They attract you with claims of big company packages, but the truth is, hardly 1% get offers above 5 LPA. The average package most students receive is around 3 LPA. I will advise you to not join this college until you are rich.

Infrastructure: I don't know much about hostels but facilities in college like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library. Canteen foods are the worst food anyone has ever experienced. Lifts are also not in working condition most of the necessary facilities such as fans, lights, and benches are also very old and in broken condition.

Faculty: Faculty members are good, especially in the math department. Exams are also held properly under MAKAUT guidance. They teach you out of the course things and sometimes they just tell you they will give you the attendance without attending the subject class for all semester.
