K J Somaiya School of Engineering offers various scholarships and financial aid programs to assist students financially and provide affordable world class education. KJSSE offers 5 scholarships to the students. These scholarships are offered to students with extraordinary talent in sports and academics.
Financial Aid/ EWS (Economically Weaker Section) Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria: Students with an annual family income up to INR 8 Lacs.
For Students with Disabilities (PWD): Income up to ₹8,00,000 (50% concession). Aid is open to students with benchmark disabilities (40% or more, as defined in the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016) with valid disability certificates and Aadhaar-based biometric authentication.
For Wards of Defense Personnel: Up to 50% concession for those disabled or deceased in the line of duty, with a minimum of 75% in 10th/12th/Graduation/Diploma.

Scholarship Award: Up to 100% on total fees

Sports Merit Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria: Students between the ages of 17 to 26 years and have represented the State or University in National Championships, All India, Inter-University Tournaments, or National School Games (not before 2022). Must commit to continuing sports with SVU (Undertaking required).
Who Can Apply: Only First-year students at the time of admission
Scholarship Award: Up to 100% on total fees

Anand Rathi Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria: Students with an annual family income up to INR 5 Lacs. Average percentage of 70% and above in Class 10 and 12, and/or graduation, if applicable
Any student in the undergraduate course, or any student of the Management institute, or any student, satisfying all other eligibility & admission criteria, keen to pursue the aforementioned courses
Who Can Apply: Applicable both at the time of admission and potentially during course progression

Merit cum Need based Scholarship/ Women Scholarship/ Benevolent Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria: Students with an annual family income up to INR 5 Lacs. Applicant must demonstrate proven financial need and be able to provide evidence of their financial accounts. Candidate should be a student of Somaiya Vidyavihar University with 75% of attendance & 6.5 CGPA in the previous semester
Who Can Apply: Applicable to students from the second year onwards.
Scholarship Award: Up to 50% concession on tuition fees
Documents Required:
- Statement of Purpose (SOP): Outlining academic goals, career aspirations, and motivation for applying.
- Aadhaar Card: For identity verification.
- Income certificate / EWS certificate: Marksheets of the previous class

Placements: Btech placements are good, with 10 LPA for Btech, 13 LPA for computers, and 11 LPA for IT. The top roles offered were SDE, with the lowest package being 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies were JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and Edelweiss. A compulsory internship is there in the college.
Placements: About 80-90% of the students who sit for placements get placed in college. The highest salary package offered last year was 51.02 LPA by Microsoft. The average salary package offered is around 7 LPA. Top companies like JP Morgan, Barclays, etc., visit the campus for recruitment. There are a lot of companies that provide internships. Roles offered are software developer and data analyst.
Placements: The placements are pretty decent for computer and IT branch. But for EXTC and other branches it is very hard for them to be placed. If you are from computer and IT, you can expect a package of 9-10 LPA, if you perform well and have the skills. Many companies that are in Fintech come to hire. But the placement percentage is decreasing year by year, don't know if it is due to recession or not.
Placements: The highest package was 58 LPA, the average was 9 LPA, and the lowest was 7 LPA on average. Companies like Incred, J.P. Morgan, Land, Siemens, etc. are the top recruiters. 80 percent of students got internships during our year. Skills matter for getting a good placement and college helps you with the same.
Placements: Most of the students from electronics and telecommunication engineering department were placed with average or above average package. The highest salary offered can go upto 58 LPA while average package is 10 LPA. Companies coming for placements vary from year to year.
Placements: Around 95 to 98 percent of students get placed every year. The highest package was around 50 LPA, with an average above 10 LPA. J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. is one of the top recruiting companies. Many students get internships at the end of their 2nd and 3rd years.
