B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2019
4.2
Best college in Odisha for engineering.
Placements: From the end of 6th semester, companies started to visit our college. Some companies were Tata Technologies, Optum, Deloitte, Accenture, Wipro, JSW, AMNS, Maruti Suzuki, Bosch, State Street, GE Healthcare, PWC, TVS, LTI Mindtree, etc. The highest package varies from branch to branch, in mechanical the highest was 13 LPA with an average of 7 LPA in core sector. One best thing about college was that it gave 100% placement. Various companies came for internships like Wipro, Genpact, Deloitte, Tata Technologies, High Radius, etc. They all provided stipend around Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Various range of books and books were available in library with a world class library infrastructure. Sports facilities at KIIT were commendable with various grounds for different sports. There were many student run social groups and clubs. In hostel, there were various types of rooms available with 3 bed non-AC, 2 bed non-AC, 2 bed AC, 2 bed AC premium, 3 bed AC, etc. We had international hostels for students who came from abroad. Meal was tasty and hygiene was maintained.
Faculty: Faculty to student ratio was good. Faculty had a nice relationship with their students. They were always available for the students whenever they needed. Faculty members clear doubts in various ways and also guide the students so that they don't get confused. Exams were normal to little difficult in terms of applications. So that student who further test their knowledge. Per semester two exams were held, mid semester of 20 marks and end semester of 50 marks, and practical and viva of 30 marks.

KIIT - Campus of joy and pride.
Placements: College placements were good. Companies like Amazon come to the premises. The placement ratio was also good for students. Around 100% of placements were there in the college. The packages range from 3 LPA to 12 LPA. The internship stipend ranges from Rs 15,000 to Rs 60,000.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was the best part of college. The greenery and architecture of the college were awesome. The canteen food was okay and there were many food courts on the premises. If you wanted to go out, there were good roll stalls and other food courts in the area.
Faculty: Faculty members were good. There were mid exams that were of 20 marks, and the main exams were of 50 marks and internal was of 30. Professors were mainly from IIT and other big institutes and they solved all problems. You could also do research and a thesis on your particular subject.

KIIT being a very good A+ rated college by NAAC, provides a great future for students.
Placements: In the Departments of Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil, the placement rate is very good. Almost everybody from these departments gets placed. There is trouble for many of the CSE department students, though. The placement rate is very low there. Also, students from AIML get very good placements.
Infrastructure: As a first-year hosteler, the hostel that has been provided to us (KP-7AB) is not worth the money that is charged. The rooms are also very congested. The quality of the food is very bad. Although hygiene is maintained, the food seems tasteless, and they put sambar and Maggi masala in everything!
Faculty: The teachers are in a ratio of being bad to good, 3:2. Those teachers who are helpful are indeed helpful, but the rest of the teachers are like they don't have any connection with the students and don't care what they do. The native teachers are also very discriminatory. The communication between the students and the teachers is very difficult. They often speak in Oriya and strictly don't use Hindi, but use broken English, which makes it impossible to communicate.

My college infrastructure is really good but placement isn't so good .
Placements: There were many students placed in my course as they enrolled the same as me. The highest package is around 45 lacs, and the lowest package is 2 lacs per year, I think, in every course. The top recruiting teams are ASME. 70 percent of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The facility is really good and helps you a lot. The teachers are really amazing too and they help you a lot. The infrastructure is really big, around 700 acres, which amazes students a lot in every way. The Wi-Fi provided is fine but it does not have access to everything.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers were really helpful and they teach you well too. They are qualified and really knowledgeable and the teaching quality is good too; they use everything to teach. The course is relevant and it makes the students industry ready too. The exams are fine.
Other: I chose this course because I'm interested in machines and there is no other better course than mechanical than this too get into it and thrive to learn about it. The best thing is learning about physics. I wish we could get more physical classes. The fest is insane, and the events done here are, from time to time, really interesting and fun to enjoy .

Review of KIIT School of Engineering.
Placements: Approximately 60% of students got placed in different sectors. Top recruiting companies were TCS, Accenture, Bhusan Steel, and Microsoft. The top role offered was an analyst. I got an internship at Accenture. Many students also got internships at companies like Tata Power, Tata Steel, and DLW.
Infrastructure: All facilities were good. Laboratory was well-equipped. The library was available 24X7. Our campus was Wi-Fi enabled. Classrooms were well-maintained. Projectors were available in our classrooms. Hostel rooms were decent. Wi-Fi facility was available in our hostel. Double-occupancy and triple-occupancy rooms were available. The food served in the mess was very good.
Faculty: All teachers were well-qualified. Our college provided good environment for study purposes. Online classes were conducted in this college. Semester exams were easy. Assignments were also provided by faculty members. The course curriculum was relevant to make students ready for the industry.
Other: The fee structure was not affordable. Placements were average so this college was worth it.

Our college has a good environment. It helps to achieve our goals.
Placements: The mechanical department placement percentage is 100%. The salary package offered ranges between 5 LPA - 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Tata Motors, Capgemini, Fiat, Mitsubishi, L&T, HRC, and KPMG. There are plenty of workshops and internship opportunities offered around the year.
Infrastructure: The department has research labs about various topics of study. All libraries are well-stocked with reputed books. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. All classrooms have projectors and smart screens. All hostels are well-organised and maintained. Medical services are available 24X7 in our college. Our college has multiple courts and fields for sports training.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful and well-qualified for their roles as teachers and researchers. You can ask doubts to them. The course curriculum is rich with industrial training. All exams are easy enough if you prepare well. All questions are relevant.

Around 13 students got placed in Adani Groups. Around 11 students got placed in AMNS. Around 8 students got placed in Voltbek. Amazon company visited our college and offered a salary package of 12.5 LPA. It selected 10 students.
Infrastructure: Our college provides all facilities. The Wi-Fi facility is not good. It is not connectable in classrooms. Its speed is slow. Sometimes, we can't submit the quiz test. Narrow desks and tables are uncomfortable. The library has comfortable chairs. It has giant tables. They won't allow us if we wear half trousers. Many books are locked. Students will get by asking the librarian. They will write in the register, take your physical ID, and give you the book. Many labs felt like school. Teachers do 85% work, and our work is to take observations.
Faculty: Almost 50% of teachers are helpful. The course curriculum is a bit old. This course won't provide knowledge related to hydrogen fuel, electric vehicles, hybrid engines, and solar energy production. They teach waste recycling, reducing techniques, nanoscience, and waste-to-energy as we do in school. They have strict attendance rules.
Other: They won't provide prior arrangements for fests. Our college has around 4 - 5 food stalls. Our college organises cultural dance, Bollywood dance, and singing only. They don't provide innovative and decorative ideas.

Our college has good infrastructure and faculty members.
Placements: Placements are good in our college. Many companies visit our college and offer great jobs to students. Around 80-90% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 40 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are PWC, Infogain, etc. These companies provide very good internships. Our college conducts many workshops regularly, which improve our skills. This helps them in finding good internships. We have a high radius built inside our college which provides internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent. It is one of the largest private colleges. It has a very huge campus. All classrooms are well-maintained. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Its speed is good. All labs are well-built. Every student gets a fair chance and an instrument in labs to perform experiments. There is no shortage of experiment tools. The library is very good, but it is only available for second-year students. Our college has the biggest central library on 4 floors. The hostel in our college is perfect for college students with certain guidelines. The quality of food they serve should be the best. The mess facility is better than other messes. It provides a variety of food items 4 times a week. The whole hostel is Wi-Fi enabled. Each hostel has its sports complex, so there is no rush in sports activities.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They provide us with knowledge. They are cooperative and understanding. Most of them are Ph.D. holders. Semester exams are average. We can prepare easily in a month, so students can make time for extra activities. The pass percentage is 40%. We can score the pass percentage easily. Internals are provided by teachers.
Other: I opted for this course because I like machines and mechanics. The best thing about our course is that it provides root information about machines and shows us how they work. Students are very less in this course, which can be improved. Various events are held in our college. Recently we celebrated carnival. Our college has completed its 25 years. Our college conducts many concerts and invites many celebrities.

Well, there is no particular information about the branch but as I know, the number of students placed in core companies are very less. Most of them are placed in IT companies whose package is around 3.5 LPA. Students placed in core companies get around 3-4 LPA.
