I would really recommend keeping this in the top five priorities in DU.
Placements: I am a second-year student right now. I don't know much about the placements. But what I have heard and seen is that more than 50% of the students are placed in companies. We get to give interviews at a lot of companies. The companies that come are great companies like Bain & Company and Accenture to pick up students. There's also a placement cell society in our college that gives out lots of opportunities for internships like consultant, analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: KMC has well-equipped classrooms, labs, and Wi-Fi in most places. The quality of facilities in the hostel is also nice, as I have heard from many of my classmates. Our college only has a boys' hostel and not a girls' hostel, but the rest of the things, like the food, are great. Sports facilities are great. We have a very large field.
Faculty: Our fees are very affordable. Teachers are very helpful. This is one of the best things about KMC, especially for the Maths Hons section. Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable. They make sure that everything is taught with clarity to a great extent. The curriculum is very relevant. The exams are at suitable times. They happen twice a year, and we also have midterm examinations. They are according to what our course requires and are very suitable for this level of academics.
Other: I chose this course because I have an inclination towards mathematics. The best things about my course are the faculty, the coursework, and the peers and seniors, who are very helpful. We also have practical subjects. The events and fests are very nice. It is just that the crowd is too large at such events. It gets overcrowded, and there are just a few connectivity issues in certain parts of the campus. But the rest of everything is great. The college makes efforts for extracurricular activities. Sports facilities are also very good.

Great facilities, good infrastructure, and faculty.
Placements: Great placements. They have a very systematic way of handling the process. The percentage of students placed in my course is around 80- 90%. They are divided into sections so that each individual gets better attention.
Infrastructure: The department has AC, Wi-Fi, and a fully functional smart board, which makes the lectures very interactive and useful. We have different canteens around campus. They provide a variety of food at reasonable prices for students.
Faculty: Teachers are great. They help us a lot with every problem. The college also conducts mid-semester exams, which makes it easier for us to divide our focus. They prepare questions from our syllabus, which makes the papers easy and works like a revision. There are many teachers in our department.
Other: I chose this college for Geography because it is the best-ranked college in India. KMC has a lot of events and gives huge importance to extracurricular activities.

KMC helps in growing as a person!
Placements: KMC is one of the top ranked colleges in DU and has a very prominent and potent placement cell. Students of all departments are given a fair chance to apply for placements. Our department Economics (Hons) is among the highest paid courses at KMC, with a median salary of 5 LPA in 2026.
Infrastructure: KMC currently only has a boy's hostel and that too with a very small capacity. Our college location is also one of the best. It has top class academic facilities, be it the library or auditorium. Our college also has good sports facilities. There's a huge garden right next to the admin block and that is my favourite hangout spot.
Faculty: PPTs, Blackboard, Digital Notes and everything is there and used by our faculty members. Thus, even though most of them are in their 50s but are tech-savvy. Our course is definitely one of the finest courses that DU as a whole offers. Fortunately, exams are quite easy and internal marking depends on our attendance and camaraderie with our faculty members.
Other: We have a lot of societies and I am a part of the KMC film society, Montage.

My first-year experience.
Placements: I am currently in my 1st year, so I haven't personally gone through the placement process yet. From the placement data and what I have seen seniors discussing. placements are quite good for a DU college. Recent overall figures show the highest package of around 23 LPA. The average package is around 7 LPA. Companies like Deloitte, EY, PwC, KPMG, Accenture, and D. E. Shaw have recruited from KMC. I feel the main advantage is that many opportunities, but students also need to build their own skills and profile.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent but definitely not the strongest part of KMC. Classrooms are mostly functional. The library is one of the better facilities. It is especially good for students who want a quiet place to study. There are computer labs, sports facilities, a gym, medical facilities, and multiple canteens. The campus is old in some places. There is definitely scope for better maintenance, Wi-Fi, and classroom facilities. It is comfortable enough for regular college life.
Faculty: Faculty has been one of the better parts of my experience so far. Most teachers are knowledgeable. They are willing to help if you approach them properly. The B.Com curriculum gives a good base in commerce subjects. But I don't think the course alone is enough to make someone industry-ready. Students have to work on practical skills. They also have to do internships and certifications themselves. Semester exams are manageable. You need to attend classes. You also need to study consistently. Some subjects can be a little tricky.
Other: For me, KMC offers very good value for money. The fees are quite reasonable compared with the exposure you get through Delhi University, societies, events, competitions, and the overall peer group. A lot of opportunities are available without having to spend a huge amount on college fees. You get much more out of KMC if you actually participate instead of only attending classes.

Most nostalgic college, average infrastructure, best crowd, and campus life.
Placements: My batch is B.A. programme (economics and political science ) 2023-2026. Very few students (10 percent) got placed. A minimum 5 LPA package is offered. The maximum package is 10 LPA. The average is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are KPMG and Deloitte. About 20 percent of students got internships from my course in companies like DeShaw and Bainco. Top roles offered are Data Analyst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is like a typical government building with much-needed renovation. The college lacks Wi-Fi, and where there is Wi-Fi it is of much lower speed. The classrooms are still better and clean with proper benches in good capacity. The library is very good in my college, and reading rooms have good ventilation as well as ACs. The best part is the college canteen which is very hygienic and provides tasty food. The hostels of my college are good enough as compared to other colleges. However, the number of seats is less. It has good infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. However, my course does not make students industry-ready. It just facilitates their knowledge so that they can prepare for further competitive exams on their own and seek career options there. One has to prepare by oneself for further future options. You can't rely on college classes for that. Semester exams are not very difficult. The pass percentage is 33.33 percent.
Other: The course is very related to my career option. My college has the best faculty for this course. My college can improve the research & development part of my course. The college is good at organizing events and fests and is even the most accessible college of north campus. My college is most involved in extracurricular activities across North Campus.

Our college is great study-wise. Placements are great, but students need more.
Placements: There is not a great number of students getting placements. I have seen even talented students who couldn't get placements due to a lack of seats. It's totally a heartless competition. Companies like McKinsey, Brain, BCG, etc., come for placements. As for the History Hons course there is no such specific recruitment company.
Infrastructure: In this aspect, Kirori Mal College is better. There is a great library with thousands of books readily available for our course and others as well. Labs are available, but the air conditioning in classrooms is only through fans, which sometimes gets unbearable during hot and humid times. The food is average, not too good not too bad, in the hostel canteen and mess. Medical facilities are not what I have seen till now. However, a sports ground is there with competitions going on.
Faculty: Teachers are great, qualified and knowledgeable about the topic they teach. Teaching is really interactive and happening. The course curriculum is totally relevant to the present needs if taken in the right way, also there are many other subjects to study, such as skills development and vocational skill enhancement, which is totally great for present day needs. Semester exams are fair, to be said, not too hard not too easy. It depends on the one if he can score properly.
Other: I like studying history, that's why I chose it, and I see a great future through my eyes in it. I wish our classes had AC we would have gotten more excited to study than we are today. Events and fests are great, the management sometimes gets overwhelmed but it's still pretty nice of them. Surroundings is peaceful and extracurricular activities are included as subjects in courses as well, and that's great.
