The general profile of faculty at Konkan Gyanpeeth College of Engineering is believed to be experienced and well qualified. Most of the professors are pursuing their higher studies and have experiences ranging from 5 years to more than 20 years in various engineering fields teaching. Most students appreciate the faculty knowledge and commitment, but the feedback has been mixed over language barriers and inconsistent support. The college tries to deliver good quality education but it may differ from student to student as per course and individual faculty styles.  

Getting into Konkan Gyanpeeth College of Engineering is relatively tough as around 5000-6000 students seek admission to about 600 seats every year. The institute has a cut off in the range of around 80-90 percentile in Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) or Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. Students should have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. About 20-25% of students are selected from the management quota, whereas 75-80% get selected from the MHT-CET or JEE Main. The whole admission process normally begins in June and ends by August every year.
