Excellent Infrastructure, quality of education is the only matter of concern.

Placements: Every B.Tech student has a wish to get a job that belongs to their respective branches but unfortunately, our college student were missed that scope. There are some software companies were visited to us, but among them TCS was the only popular company, which had selected around 20 plus student out of 600 plus student including 5 student from Mechanical branch. There are few other students, who got the job in other software company so, overall placement ratio is not so good. Those student who got selected in placement has a maximum salary range of 17K-23K per month. Almost every students were preferred to do summer training in PSU companies for one month instead of participating internship, So, no stipend was offered to student. Yes, KGI has a own placement cell but I can rate 3 star out of 5 star in terms of useful and efficient. Placement faculty members are good but unfortunately they could not invite core companies during my tenure.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is a very vital thing for any college and in this case, for me, our college should be at top. A huge area covered by KGI with proper boundary facilities all around the college. Laboratory facility is very good. Particularly in Mechanical Branch, there is every mechanical equipment are present as per syllabus. A workshop and a lab are present. In workshop lathe machine, welding equipment, surface finishing machine etc. Are present, so that a student can gain details knowledge. The lab room is perfectly arranged and every equipment are present. Library facility is also available. During my tenure there was no Wi-Fi provided to us but now Wi-Fi (Jio-Wi-Fi) facility is provided to students. Unfortunately, we could not get the facility of indoor game. Cricket and volleyball is the only sports are provided to the student. Classrooms are Non-AC, large rooms, light and fans are present. Mechanical CAD lab is very good with AC facility. Separate boys and girls hostel. Three students can stay in one room. The quality of Canteen food and hostel food are not up to standard, utterly disgusting foods. Personally, during my tenure the internal road issues (drainage, mud area) were very high but now the roads are fine. Medical assistant is also present.

Faculty: As I mentioned above the infrastructure is very good but its sad to say that the quality of education is not up to the mark. The faculty members were young and almost all of them had a the highest qualification of M.Tech. As faculty members were M.Tech qualified, some of them have good knowledge. The way of teaching was straight and forward. Math, economics etc. Faculty members were very excellent. Mechanical faculty members were helped the student as much as they could. Faculty members were helped the students during project and seminar also. The lab facilities and environment was as per BPUT rule and regulation, but personally, I did not get industry exposure. As everyone knows that mechanical engineering is belongs to core branch and during my tenure under BPUT syllabus the mechanical course was very theoretical but now syllabus is very practical and based on industry requirement. SO, overall I must recommend Mechanical branch but choice depends on you.

Other: KGI is situated near CIFA, which is present near puri road. It is also situated far from Bhubaneswar city, so the environment for study is excellent. Campus is surrounded by agricultural land, houses and the campus boundary is very large. So, safety facility is very good that I can assure. Bus, Auto is the most common and best way to visit KGI. During 2012-2016 there were 600plus student so campus crowd was is high. Every year KGI has been celebrating the annual fest, some high profile personnel were joined. Government. Scholarship were also provided to the students. Extracurricular activities depends upon student. So those who are interested they may do some activities.

One of the best college I have ever study.

Placements: Placement in our batch is good. Minimum of 50% above student got placed. And the others go for higher education. They are placed in multinational companies like TCS, IBM, INFOCITY etc. Our previous batch also got paced in various companies. Overall a good placement from this college to us.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is too good. And the environment is too good for study. A student find everything for his/her study. Medical facility is also available for those student who are medically weak. The quality of labs and classroom is too good and useful for study. Sports and games also available here for extra activity.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified. They are very familiar to the students. They first understand the problem then solve by then unique method. The course curriculum was very useful. The student faculty ratio is good in every 25-30 students there is a faculty.

Other: Events also held in this college. Crowd in campus is maximum. Scholarship is also given to the good students those who are good in study.
