The management of this college is great. If I have to describe it in one word, It is affordable.
Placements: You won't get any direct placements here but you will be guided through various mediums and seminars. Teachers here will guide you on what you have to do next if you have anything on your mind and help you achieve it if possible. If you attend the seminars, it will give you a chance to grab some placement.
Infrastructure: There is no mess here and the canteen food is normal and affordable. There is no official ground. But we have a student room where indoor games are present and every year a sports festival is held. In the student room, you can relax if you don't have any class and no one will object to you, as it is for every student.
Faculty: In this college, I graduated with honors in Physics. We got quite good faculty. They helped us with practicals and projects. The teaching quality is also great. We got all the equipment needed for practical. In my whole college life, I never joined any private tuition. So you can get an idea of the level of teaching there.

Review of Maharaja Manindra Chandra College.
Placements: There were no placements in our college. Recently, a WhatsApp group has been created to notify people about jobs, but the frequency for that was low, and no one got placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was not good. Our classrooms were small. During the rainy season, our classrooms flooded with water, and I remember one of my friends slipping badly. We could also borrow books from the library without paying a fine.
Faculty: Our faculty members were average, but they were very helpful to students. They were not knowledgeable.
Other: It is the nearest college to Calcutta University so I chose it.

Faculty members are really good if you want to gain knowledge.
Placements: It was one of the best experiences. Actually, they did not provide any packages. We did not get any kind of internship during the course, and a few companies came, but they did not offer any jobs. Nobody got an internship, and nobody got placed. But it was okay.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was literally horrible, and they did not provide us (Bio General) with any room. We used to sit in our lab. The lab was really small with no Wi-Fi or any other facilities. There was a library in our college, but they did not provide us with books. Canteen food was not available. There were no medical facilities or sports.
Faculty: Our faculty members were really good. Our HOD was very helpful, and especially our Zoology professor, Dr. Saikat Sir, was a good teacher. He made everything clear to students. They arranged a seminar during our last semester, and the semester exam paper was really tough, no doubt. However, the pass percentage was a little bit high as they provided us with good quality education.
Other: Since childhood, I liked Biology a lot, especially Zoology, but I did not want to pursue honors in it because I had different plans. So, I took a B.Sc. Bio General, which included Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry. The best part about my course was that I was very happy to learn everything. The only thing I wanted to say is that students needed a better lab. No fest was held as it was mostly a lockdown year, and we got scholarships.

Dissatisfied because of many things like faculty.
Placements: There we no placement cell. So, no one got placed after completing the course questions of the highest package or average package offered in our course after completion. No, a student also did any internship, and no company offered any roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was poor, starting from the toilet to the computer labs. The hygiene is so poor that you will vomit if you visit the gent's toilet, and the ladies were no less as much as I heard. The hostel was not available, and the food in the canteen was poor and tasteless. No sports or games facilities are available.
Faculty: Yet few teachers were helpful, but their knowledge was limited. The way of teaching was poor. Some students scored low marks, and no curriculum wasn't relevant. It doesn't make industry ready. The semester exams were okay, and the pass percentage was around 50 percent.
Other: Economics is a good subject if you are good at mathematics and there is demand for this subject. The event fest didn't happen so much.

Maharaja Manindra Chandra College is a good college for Computer Science Hons.
Placements: The course provided by our college helped me a lot in terms of improving my life skills. By completing the entire course, I have learned about database management (DBMS), C programming language as well as C+ programming language etc. Along with that, it also significantly helped me a lot to get a job in a renowned IT company.
Infrastructure: The college has nice classrooms and two libraries with lots of relevant books, various articles and journals that helped us a lot. This college also owns a well-equipped laboratory with Wi-Fi service. There is also a library where various books are available.
Faculty: This course is curriculum relevant as this course helped us a lot to gain a vast knowledge of the computer Science field. Every year, this college hosts an annual sports competition along with recitation and painting competitions which helped us a lot to improve our physical fitness and mindset.
Other: Every year, this college organises two fests, one is freshers and the other one is social.

Maharaja Manindra Chandra College, B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science.
Placements: Our college has a placement cell. They allow B.Sc. Students for the on-campus and off-campus placements. We did not get any campus placements yet, but I know my seniors who got some jobs by off-campus in some IT companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure. The college has three buildings. There are facilities like free WI-FI, modern classrooms with projects, air-conditioned computer labs & mathematics lab, modern library with a large collection of books of all streams.
Faculty: The faculty members are helpful and student friendly. They are all well-qualified (most of them with Ph.D. degrees). They take exams and arrange the seminars every week. Our Computer Science department has about 150 students in total three years and there are 5 teachers.
Other: The college arranges fresher's welcome, college fest, annual sports, annual prize distribution function, departmental reunion and various other functions. There are many other events also throughout the whole year.
