B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2020
2.6
Review of Maharishi Arvind Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jaipur.
Placements: Almost 10-20% of students got placed in this course. Our college provided few placement opportunities. The average salary package offered ranges between 2 LPA - 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Solar Power, TCS, etc. Internships were not offered at this college.
Infrastructure: The facilities were excellent. The infrastructure was better. Our campus was Wi-Fi enabled. Laboratories were well maintained. Classrooms were also very good. There was a decent library in this college. Hostel facilities were good. Classrooms were clean and air-conditioned. The hostel environment was pleasant. The food served in the mess was great.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. They provided good career guidance. The course curriculum did not make students ready for the industry. You should try internships for practical knowledge. Semester exams were easy. If we prepared 15 days before exams, we would easily score good marks.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. Our college organised fests such as AURA. A yearly festival was held that included a variety of activities such as dancing and games. Sports were also conducted in this college. I would recommend students join other government colleges like IIT and NIT for B.Tech courses.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2017
2.4
I was dissatisfied because of the worst faculty, labs, and no placements.
Placements: This college was worse than other colleges in Jaipur. There were no placement opportunities for any stream. This college had been shut down for the past 2 years. There were only two batches left. The maximum salary package offered was 4 LPA to 5 LPA. You might get an internship with your own efforts.
Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi was available for college students. Labs didn't have enough equipment. There were no proper faculty members for labs. But the good thing was you will get a library on campus. They had a mess and a canteen. But no fast food was available. Only hostel boys could have this facility. There was no separate hostel for girls.
Faculty: Most of the teachers and faculty members were hired from the same college who got passed out. This college was relevant to Rajasthan Technical University. So the course curriculum is similar to RTU, Kotak. Every term and norm was dependent on RTU. All rules applied were the same.
Other: We had events such as a freshers' party and an event called Aura. But everything was done on a local basis.

It is located in Mansarovar, which is good. It's the only college in city for technical education.
Placements: None of the companies visited this college for mechanical students. So, therefore, placements are not conducted since our batch. It depends on you that you have to search for jobs on your own. However, placements are good for the CS branch, and one or two companies visited here for the CS branch. There is no guarantee for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not very well developed here. Wi-Fi is not available on our campus but is available in the hostel. There is a library for study. Hostel rooms are good to stay. Labs are also not of good quality. Some of the instruments do not work to perform experiments.
Faculty: Some of the teachers here were very great, but they resigned after getting selected for government jobs. The course is relevant but not very much, and you can prepare for the industry by this course. Some of the teachers were passed from IITs, but now there was no such type of teachers. Semester exams were good to check students' knowledge.
Other: I chose this course because I don't like bookish knowledge.

It has a good college life. It is not the best academically, but socialisation is good.
Placements: Our college does not provide placements in the mechanical engineering batch. The college was closed due to a low admission rate in the following batches. It used to be good for mechanical engineering at some time, but now it is not. This is no longer a college, and now it has been converted into a school.
Infrastructure: The food served in a mess is average. The hostel facility is average. The college is situated in a well-developed area of the city. Most of the students are localities and did not choose to live in the hostel.
Faculty: Semester exams are conducted by Rajasthan Technical University, so it had nothing much to do with the college. Internals are quite good as we received above-average marks in all the semesters. For academic purposes, it is not a good college. Now the engineering department has been shut down. Teachers are good and cooperative.
Other: Events are normal as a regular college lifestyle.

I am dissatisfied with this college.
Placements: Only 3-5% of the students from our course get placed. The highest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. I did not even hear the name of those companies which visit our college to hire students. Almost 90% of the students from our course get an internship from various companies like Ashok Leyland, HCL, etc. A role offered to the students is a production engineer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is not available here. Classrooms are average, and labs have outdated instruments. The library was full of local author books. The hostel facilities are average with good huge room for 4 students. The food served is good. Medical facilities are not available here. Sports and games are average.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful but not that experienced. Their teaching quality is bad. The course curriculum does not make students industry-ready. The difficulty level of semester exams is average. The pass percentage is 30%.
Other: I have chosen this course because mechanical engineering has always been a core branch. The best thing is that we see the practicals in daily life. Nothing should be improved in our course. Our college organised the college fest named Aura MNIT, and it was interesting, full of crowd and activities.

I suggest others not to join in this college.
Placements: Our college was good in 2010, but after that, the rate fell. The mechanical branch was good at that time, but now the college doesn't have teachers. For placements, our college says they don't do that here. But you can enjoy your life at this college.
Infrastructure: Our college doesn't have Wi-Fi. There is a canteen, but it only serves samosa, and the mess serves one of the worst quality of food.
Faculty: Quality of teaching depends on the mood of teachers. Our college was very good. There were 3 branches in Jaipur, but all are closed now.

Positive is good and supportive behavior of teachers. Library is awesome for study.
Placements: MAIET has a good relation with other colleges also. So the students of MAIET are invited by other colleges also in open campus placements. Many companies come there like TCS, Accenture, Infosys, IBM, Wipro and Apperio. Last semester there were 50 students in the class and 35 got placed. The average annual package offered by them was 3 Lacs to 5 Lacs. The companies came took the 3-4 round of examination and interview rounds.
Infrastructure: Extra curriculum activities are quite good. There are also big sports ground for students to play like cricket, football, badminton, basketball etc. Labs are good. There are sufficient equipments in lab for understanding course practicals are perform them. But there is no hostel facility.
Faculty: Not so much experienced. Even they also completed his/her own graduation in last two or three year. Then haven't experience in teaching. Not all the faculty members but most of them. There are also some experienced faculty. Course curriculum is good. It is designed by RTU. Total 8 exam conducts during course period. 2 semester exam in 1 year for 4 years of course duration followed by practicals in each semester. Internal exams are also conducts.
Other: Actually from starting my interest in machinery that's why I choose Bachelor in engineering. College conducts three days fest in college called AURA in every year. This is a very good fest in comparison to other colleges. There are numbers of activities you can do in these three days. That days was awesome for me.

I made a mistake by selecting this college.
Placements: None of the students from our course got placed. We didn't have any placement, or none of the companies visited here this year for placements. Other colleges have placement cells where they train students for placements, but our college doesn't have that. Even our college is going to closed, and it had only 50 students in the last batch. It would stop providing admissions in the coming years. So, as there are very few students, companies didn't visit this year and the past year.
Infrastructure: For namesake, there is a Jio network Wi-Fi facility, which doesn't even work sometimes. Labs are old. Our campus is very small, so it doesn't have much space for sports. Classrooms are very old and even worse than the government school. The food served in the mess is average. You can survive the condition if you have already stayed in a hostel earlier.
Faculty: Our college is about to be closed after few years, and it doesn't even have a principal now. He resigned because there weren't any admissions. The last batch had only 50 students, which was the total number of admissions of our college. There were only a few teachers. They teach whatever they are told to teach and even teach multiple subjects at a time.
