The MIT Institute of Design offers a full-time MDes programme. The duration of course is two-years. Total 12 specialisations are offered. Some specialisations are Product Design, Fashion Design, Design Management, etc. Admissions are conducted in two phases. In Phase I, applicants have to submit their Portfolio and Statement of Purpose (SOP). The university selects number of students based on this. Phase II consists of a Studio Test and Interview. Phase II is conducted on-campus in Pune. Applicants may have to appear for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) as well.

Yes, MITID offers MDes in full-time mode for two-years. The course is offered in 12 specialisations. For example: candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Fine/ Applied Arts, Visual Comunnication, Media etc. in order to apply in MDes in Graphic and Animation Design. The MIT Institute of Design offers over 150 seats in MDes. All seats are allotted by the university. However, the total number of seats may vary. Seats are allotted on the basis of overall performance in both phases of selection. Total 12 specialisations are offered. Number of seats in each specialisation is different. MITID MDes seat reservation is according to Maharashtra Government rules. Maximum 50% reservation could be for SC/ST/OBC and 10% additional for EWS.
Candidates who are not from Maharashtra are considered as General category. For Ex/Active Service Personnel, a 5% seat reservation is there. However, it is mandatory for the candidate to have the domicile and Class 12 completed from Maharashtra.
