It was a good experience.
Placements: Placements were good. Top MNC's came with decent packages compared to other commerce colleges in India. Helpful placement committee operates to train you with interviews, group discussions, attire etc. 50-60% students from each class get placed on an average.
Infrastructure: We shifted to new facility last year which has better amenities. Library, classroom and canteen are great. No grounds for sports. Quality of food is great in and around the college. Wi-Fi available inside the library and e-library is also available. Rooms are great and air conditioned.
Faculty: Curriculum was under Mumbai university until 2020 which was bad. Narsee Monjee has become autonomous from 2021 and the curriculum has supposedly improved as now it is in the hands of the college and not the university. But you cannot rely solely on the colleges course and it's good to do side professional courses.

It provides amazing infrastructure and opportunities to find your niche apart from education.
Placements: Around 60% of the students got placed from college. The interview rounds held were difficult to crack. The salary offered was Rs. 25,000. Companies like KPMG and Motilal Oberoi visited the campus to hire students. They offered only jobs and not internships. Roles offered were as an account executive, finance assistant, financial analyst, and risk management.
Infrastructure: We had facilities like Wi-Fi, air-conditioners, computer room, amazing library and a canteen. The infrastructure was not a problem. I would give 5 stars to our college festival. It was one of the best management festivals in India, and students will take pride in it. We learnt how to organize an entire event. The library was so quiet, and it made focusing very easy.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were highly qualified and organised. They had in-depth knowledge about topics in their field. They did not make students industry ready, but they make it a point that you are all set for the jobs. They gave us a lot of practical courses compared to our friends in other colleges.

Overall, it is a perfect college during our tenure.
Placements: Narsee Monja College is the best college in Maharashtra State. There were about 10%-15% of the students in our course. Many companies visited our college and offered internships to students, but a few of the students did not get internships. About 2%-3% of the students did not get internships in top companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was very good enough compared to other colleges in the city. Our college library is huge and has many books to read and learn. Books are arranged in very well maintained shelves.
Faculty: Professors in our college are professionals, and they had much knowledge to share with us. They teach very gently and peaceful. They are interested in some fields like dancing, singing, sports and many other curricular activities so that they have made this college the number one college in the state.
Other: The crowd in our college is very good and are helpful in nature.

It is a great place to improve connections with the industries and to take project initiatives.
Placements: Decent Companies visit our college and offer decent placement opportunities. But it depends on your knowledge and skills. Even some times, you need to have a good grade in your academics to get placed. Pre-placement sessions are good for BAF, BMS and BFM, but they are not very good for B.Com. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA, but the highest salary package offered is 11 LPA. Many types of roles are not offered here.
Infrastructure: I have been visited most of the colleges in Mumbai as a part of the role assigned in my internship. NM and Mithibai are the best in terms of infrastructure, food, etc., but there is no place for outdoor sports activities.
Faculty: For BAF, the teachers are fairly good, but faculty members for B.Com course are not great. BMS faculty members are also fair. However, our college has the best faculty members among all colleges which are affiliated to Mumbai University. But if you want to have practical learning, then none of the colleges of Mumbai University is good for you.

It is a good and decent college with good teachers, better placements and hi-tech infrastructure.
Placements: Most of the students get placed with an average salary package of 4 LPA and the highest salary package of 12 LPA by companies like Morgan Stanley, KPMG, ICICI Bank, etc. Overall, the placements of the college are pretty decent. Most of the students get placed at a reasonable salary package.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good, but it does not have a campus. There is just a building, and the building is very good, clean and hi-tech. Classrooms are good and properly lighted. The library is huge and good. Overall, the college has a good and decent infrastructure.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good, qualified and highly knowledgeable. Each faculty member has a different way of teaching, but everyone is best in their own way. Quality of teaching is very good. The course curriculum is good and practical, but it can be modified more so that it makes students industry-ready in a better way.
Other: I have chosen this course because the syllabus was pretty interesting to me and is mostly relating to accounts and finance, which falls under my interest area. There are lots of financial fests and other fests going on in college throughout the year.

    ShikshaGPT says
    A:

Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics (NM College) and Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce (SCAC Pune) are both top-ranked commerce and management colleges in India. Both colleges offer excellent placement opportunities for their students.

However, NM College is generally considered to have better placements than SCAC Pune. This is due to a number of factors, including:

    • NM College is located in Mumbai, which is the financial capital of India. This gives NM College students access to a wider range of companies and placement opportunities.
    • NM College has a stronger alumni network than SCAC Pune. This helps NM College students get their foot in the door at top companies.
    • NM College has a more rigorous academic programme than SCAC Pune. This prepares NM College students better for the demands of the corporate world.

According to the placement reports of both colleges, NM College students tend to get placed in higher-paying jobs than SCAC Pune students. NM College students also tend to get placed in more prestigious companies.

Overall, NM College is the better college for placements. However, SCAC Pune is also a good college with a good placement record. Ultimately, the best college for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences.

Q:   Can I get into Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics with 70%?
    ShikshaGPT says
    A:

It is very difficult to get into Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics (NM College) with 70%. NM College is one of the top commerce and management colleges in India, and its cut-offs are very high.

In 2022-23, the cut-off for the BBA programme at NM College was 92-95%. The cut-offs for other programs are also very high.

However, there are a few things you can do to increase your chances of getting into NM College with 70%:

    • Score high in the CUET. The CUET is the main entrance exam for admission to NM College. If you score high in the CUET, you will have a better chance of getting admission even if your class 12th percentage is low.
    • Apply for the reserved category seats. If you belong to a reserved category, such as OBC, SC, or ST, you will have a better chance of getting admission to NM College with a lower percentage.
    • Participate in extracurricular activities. NM College also considers extracurricular activities when selecting students for admission. If you have participated in any extracurricular activities, such as sports, debates, or social work, be sure to mention them in your application form.

Q:   What is the cutoff of Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics for admission 2023?
    ShikshaGPT says
    A:

The cutoff for Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics (NM College) for admission in 2023 is expected to be around 92-95% for the BBA program, and around 85-88% for the B.Com (Hons) program. The cutoffs for other programs are also expected to be high.

The actual cutoff will vary depending on a number of factors, including:

    • The total number of applicants for each program
    • The average score of the applicants
    • The number of seats available in each program

The cutoffs for the reserved category candidates are also expected to be lower than the cutoffs for the general category candidates.

For example, the cutoff for the OBC category candidates is expected to be around 90-92%, while the cutoff for the SC/ST category candidates is expected to be around 85-88%.

It is important to note that the cutoffs mentioned above are just estimates. The actual cutoffs will be announced by NM College after the CUET results are declared.
