NIFT Delhi is the first institute in India that can award its own degrees in the Design field. It is old. It is reputed. There are many aspiring designers who have graduated. The degrees awarded by NIFT Delhi are recognised by academia worldwide. For all of its courses, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT Delhi) is regarded as the finest Design institute in the country. It is renowned for giving students extensive experience and having a high success rate in placements. Additionally, the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is in charge of this legal institution.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology offers B.Des and B.FTech courses at the undergraduate level. NIFT Delhi offers M.Des, MFM and M.FTech courses at the postgraduate level. Apart from the UG and PG courses, NIFT Delhi also offers a list of UG Diploma and Continuing Education (CE) short-term programmes with a course duration ranging between three months and one year depending on the course.

However, it is to note that NIFT has a centralised placement process across all its campuses. Companies can employ NIFT students from any course or campus through On-campus placement and Pre-placement offers.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology offers a two-year full-time MFM course at the postgraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to the MFM course need to appear for an entrance examination comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates of the entrance examination are then required to appear for a Personal Interview (PI) round. 

No, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) only offers admission basis of candidates' performance in the NIFT entrance exam. Conducted by NIFT Delhi, the National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance exam is the only accepting exam for admission to NIFT Delhi for several UG, PG and UG Diploma courses. The final selection is based on Situation Test and Personal Interview. 

NIFT Application 2026 is closed now. The registration started on December 08, 2025. NIFT 2026 Application forms and Notifications can be out anytime now for B.Des, M.Des, B.F. Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M programmes. The application form will be released at  @nift.ac.in. The NIFT entrance exam application form is the same for all courses. The application fee for NIFT is INR 2,000 (INR 500 for SC, ST, and PwD categories). NIFT Application forms can also be filled with late fees. The late fee is INR 5,000.
