National Institute of Fashion Technology has a centralised placement process across all its campuses. Companies can employ NIFT students from any course or campus through On-campus placement and Pre-placement offers. In On-campus placement process, companies register for campus placement on a respective date as mentioned in the campus placement schedule. Apart from this, companies also offer pre-placements to students’ basis the projects / training / internships undertaken by the students.

Aspirants have to pay a non-refundable application fees of INR 2,000 for UG and PG courses at NIFT Delhi. There is a relaxation in the fees for SC/ ST/ PwD category. Such candidates need to pay INR 500. Aspirants can pay the application fees via any of the online payment modes.

NIFT Delhi is frequently ranked among the top design colleges in the country. So, the admission cut-off for the institute is pretty high, especially when compared to the lower-ranked colleges. This is because being a higher-ranked college, NIFT Delhi receives a higher number of applicants. Another factor is more number of higher ranked candidates want to get admission in the institute, which also pushes up the cut-off. On the other hand, lower ranked colleges are not a priority for the top ranked candidates; meaning a higher number of lower ranked candidates applies to these institutes. This keeps the cut-off low in these institutes.

As per the NIFT Delhi Last round cutoff 2026, the closing rank for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme ranged between 62 and 834 for General All India category students. Among all the specialisations, B.Des. in Fashion Communication was the most competitive, with the lowest cutoff rank of 62. The faculty at NIFT Delhi is well-educated and goal-oriented. Each of them hold a PhD degree in their respective field and is really helpful. They instruct their students via PowerPoint presentations and are quite skilled in their respective disciplines. They also include relevant literature that should be utilised as references. Mentoring sessions are also scheduled on a weekly basis.
