• 10th and 12th mark sheets
• Bachelor's degree and mark sheets (for PG courses)

National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi was established in 1986 under the Ministry of Textiles of the Government of India. NIFT Delhi was declared a statutory institute in 2006 and empowered to grant its own degree by the NIFT ACT of the Indian Parliament. National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi is also the first NIFT campus of all the 19 NIFTs we have in the country, at present. Additionally, NIFT Delhi is an autonomous government institute. NIFT Delhi has an award-winning campus infrastructure.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology offers a two-year full-time MFM course at the postgraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to the MFM course need to appear for an entrance examination comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates of the entrance examination are then required to appear for a Personal Interview (PI) round. 

National Institute of Fashion Technology has a centralised placement process across all its campuses. Companies can employ NIFT students from any course or campus through On-campus placement and Pre-placement offers. In On-campus placement process, companies register for campus placement on a respective date as mentioned in the campus placement schedule. Apart from this, companies also offer pre-placements to students’ basis the projects / training / internships undertaken by the students.

For the students belonging to the General AI quota, the NIFT Delhi cutoff 2025 ranged between 19 and 967 across various UG and PG courses. For B.Des, the Round 3 cutoff ranks were in the range of 92 and 967, wherein B.Des. in Fashion Design was the highly sought-after specialisation for admission. No, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) only offers admission basis of candidates' performance in the NIFT entrance exam. Conducted by NIFT Delhi, the National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance exam is the only accepting exam for admission to NIFT Delhi for several UG, PG and UG Diploma courses. The final selection is based on Situation Test and Personal Interview. 

The information provided by the candidate when filling out the NIFT 2026 application form are verified by NIFT officials before any candidate is considered for admission in the first week of June.

The verification of original documents is conducted online. 

Note that at the time of counseling registration, the candidate is required to upload documents. 

Also, if the certificates are in any other language than Hindi/ English, then a certified translation in Hindi/ English produced duly verified by the issuing institution/ gazetted officer. If the candidate fails to produce the translation, the candidate may be denied admission.
