It is the best college for designing courses.
Placements: You will definitely get a job after being graduated from NIFT, and your portfolio and skills matters. NIFT is a brand, and being a student of this college helps a lot in getting placed, unlike other designing colleges, which you pay a hefty amount for, but you hardly get a job.
Infrastructure: For fashion communication students, there are separate labs with all the apple devices from the keyboard, mouse to screen, which gives a lot of exposure to a fashion communication student. The hostels are also good to go as the view from the hostel is amazing.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are amazing, especially faculty for FD, FC and TD courses are amazing. They are the perfect combination of teachers, parents and friends, which you will find in some teachers. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students' industry-ready. The semester exam system is not conducted here, as it has a jury system.

Review of NiFT kangra and it's life.
Placements: A lot of companies approach NIFT. But the placement camps are set in metropolitan areas that's why, students from other campuses have to go to the campuses in metro cities for that. The placements are given on the basis of merits and not campus, so the good portfolios win.
Infrastructure: The quality has been worked upon and thus is getting better. The music room, library, labs, everything is getting better as there are new wings being developed for everything including an in house cafe. There are two mess for 6 hostel wings. So, students can go to whichever one is close.
Faculty: The teachers are great but curriculum can be improved upon. For certain courses the curriculum doesn't provide as much exposure and industry experience, as much required. Also, taking up extra subjects is kind of an inconvenience as they were introduced to lighten the academic burden but have become a burden themselves.
Other: Campus fests are great and definitely something to look forward to.

Really great network with a curriculum that is student as well as industry-friendly.
Placements: Associate consultant, production team, trendspotting, merchandiser, retail services, and supply chain management are common roles. Top recruiters include export houses, buying houses, clothing brands, and textile innovators. Mainly, students prefer PPOs, but placements are decentralized, and students can sit for placements through any NIFT campus.
Infrastructure: Our college is situated in Kangra Valley, beautiful hills. It has state-of-the-art infrastructure, all labs with the latest technology in apparel. Hostel facilities are available for girls. There are IT labs, Mac labs, studios, free Wi-Fi, a canteen, and medical facilities. Events and festivals are celebrated throughout the year, and exposure in terms of industry visits, networking through outbound trips, and assignments.
Faculty: Qualified and expert faculty members in the field. The entrance exam for design is NIFT CAD, and for B.FTech, it is GAT, which is the General Awareness Test consisting of Maths, English, Logical Research, General Knowledge, and case studies. The course in general is industry-friendly.
Other: I chose this course because I have a keen interest in manufacturing and fashion retail. Other than that, there is a very strong alumni network. Campus life is also great, with freedom of expression and a creative environment.

It is a great college with good placement opportunities. It is located in a beautiful place.
Placements: Placements in our college are decent. For our seniors, the placements were good. The average salary package offered was around 4 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was around 7-8 LPA. Placements are held in Delhi NCR area. Initially, the salary offered is low, but if you have experience of more than two years, you will surely bag a good salary package.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not much good, as the college was established just 9 years ago. Basic facilities are available, like huge and air-conditioned classrooms. Food served in the canteen is satisfactory. Hostel rooms are well-maintained. It is a peaceful place, and you can see some amazing views of hills from the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and helpful, and most of them are the alumni of our college. They use practical teaching methods like presentations and also verbal. The student to faculty ratio is 30:1. Industry exposure is provided by the faculty in Delhi. The course curriculum is very useful.

My college was an amazing experience of my life. I will do it again if I get a chance.
Placements: There weren't any good companies at our campus for placements. But, the off-campus demand is pretty good. You will get the job no matter how and where. Almost everywhere, we can see something creative these days, and where there is creativity, there is a new idea. To do that job, people need students/guys like us (design graduates). They are ready to pay you a good amount of money. You just have to prove your worth to them.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is fine as the campus placed in mountains, it is really good. The students have their chilling spots and A/C classrooms, everything they require. It is a peaceful place, and I basically loved it, not to ignore the view of the beautiful Dhauladhar range.
Faculty: The faculty of my subjects were not good at all. They knew nothing and also kept personal grudges with the students at times. Whereas, rest of the faculty members are really nice and open to ideas given by children. The curriculum is good. But, the matter is how and with what perception and idea, the teachers are teaching it to you. The clarity in every subject is really important. So, the teacher needs to work on that.

Awesome life in NIFT with best teachers, best surrounding. I miss that place.
Placements: There is a transparent placement system. It is common for all students. We need to apply online on the college portal for choosing the companies which the students want to be interviewed by. The minimum package is 3 LPA, and the maximum is 7-8 LPA. Once you have 2 years of work experience, you will keep on gaining high packages. In textile and garments, it's the practical job experience that enables you to grow to heights. Start with less salary, but you definitely will be at the best in 2 years.
Infrastructure: The college has all facilities. It has a resource centre with all the desired academic needs. The classrooms are designed very beautifully. We get to learn the software related to textile and garments. The buildings are earthquake protective. The spread of the college enables to organise all kind of sports and activities.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified. Most of the teachers were master's from NIFT with an industrial experience of 5 years or more. Teaching was mostly practical not theoretical, which is the dire need other colleges must follow. 600 students and 60 teachers were there. Timely industrial trips were taken in Delhi NCR, Ludhiana area. Fashion shows in Pragati Maidan could be attended by NIFT admit card. It is a very rare moment to get in touch with people from Bollywood.
Other: All festivals are celebrated. The campus crowd was great. Toppers get gold medal and cash in the 8th semester. It is beautifully surrounded by Dauladhar mountains.
