NIFT Kangra is one of the top design institutions in India that was established in 2009. It is a government institution under the Ministry of Textiles. The campus of NIFT Kangra is spread across 26-acre land and is located in Chheb region of Himachal Pradesh. NIFT Kangra Admission 2023: BDes, B.F.Tech
NIFT Kangra only offers UG courses in design. BDes is offered in four specialisations whereas B.F.Tech is only offered in Apparel Production. Besides meeting the qualification requirements, candidates need to adhere to the age criteria as well. The upper limit for candidates from General category is 23 years. For those who belong to reserved category, the upper limit is relaxed by five years. (28 years).
For final selection in BDes candidates need to clear Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), followed by a situation test for the shortlisted candidates. The table below mentions the various BDes specialisations along with the eligibility criteria:

NIFT Kangra Application Process 2023
NIFT Kangra application form for all courses can only be filled in the online mode. For candidates of General category, the application fee is Rs 2,000 and for reserved category applicants it is INR 1,000. Candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below to fill the online application form:
Step 1: Visit the application website of NIFT to register yourself as a new user through a valid email address.
You can also access the website by clicking on ‘Admission 2020: Apply now!’ banner on the homepage of the official website of NIFT (www.nift.ac.in).
Step 2: Login to fill the application form and upload a recent passport-size photograph clicked against a light background and signature image.
Step 3: Pay the application fee according to the category you belong to. Payment can be made through credit card/ debit card/ demand draft payable at the head office of NIFT—

Step 4: Take a printout of your application form for future reference.
Step 5: You can check the status of your application form on the official website. Once the dates are out, you need to download the admit card and take a printout of the same.
