What You Didn't Know About the National Institute of Fashion Technology.
Placements: About 90% of the students get placed in different sectors of the fashion industry. The highest package is 80 LPA and the lowest is 7 LPA for B.FTech. Top recruiters are Puma, Myntra, Reliance, Raymond, etc. About 100% of students do their internships in companies such as Vardhman Textile, Levis, Raymond, etc. The top roles are HR Manager, Buyer, Production Manager, Production Controller, Senior Executive, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well-equipped with top-of-the-line machines required for apparel production. Only the girls' hostel is available here in Kannur, and it is well-occupied with everything you need. It has all varieties of Indian foods from different parts of India and top-of-the-line facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and have experience of 10+ years. The teaching quality is top-notch. The practical application of apparel production makes students very much industry-ready, which you will experience once you enter NIFT. You have juries and two written exams, which are very easy if you understand the concepts clearly during lectures.
Other: I chose this course because it equips us with skills that make us experts in the fashion field. I think this course should have more popularity as it is underrated and should attract more audiences. We have Spectrum, IVs, Outbound, Cultural Festivals, etc., in our curriculum.

This is the best campus ever.
Placements: NIFT is providing good placements; in the past, they have also provided good placements. At Nift Kannur, we will get placements, but not for every student, and we will get a chance to work with a designer. In Nift Kannur, you can explore the companies and the job offers they are making.
Infrastructure: Our campus has a huge setup of Wi-Fi, and the campus also has the best facilities, but boys don't have hostels. The classes and campus are neat and clean, and the resource center has a collection of books. And the infrastructural structure of the campus is very nice; it's unique compared to the other campuses.
Faculty: The best area is that there are more practical classes, so it's very interesting, and the faculty are also good for teaching, and the lessons they are giving are also getting proper attention. And we have jury exams that are divided into three parts: midterm, end term, and final.
Other: I am in the 2021–25 batch of knitwear designers. Basically, we are learning everything about knitwear.

I am dissatisfied with placements and campus life.
Placements: There is around 60% to 70% placement this year. The highest package this year was around 9 LPA. Top recruiters are Trident, Raymond, and Arvind. About 100% of students get internship opportunities in Arvind, Raymond, and Laguna. About70% to 80% of students get internships in different apparel companies. Top roles offered are merchandiser, production manager, IE executive, etc.
Infrastructure: It has Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, a library, a garment construction room, and a pattern-making lab. The hostel is enough for girls. There is no hostel for boys, but there are PGs outside the campus. The hostel provides good quality food. Medical facilities are available with games like basketball, snooker, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are well experienced in the industry. The teaching is according to the curriculum with several outbound and industry visits. The curriculum is theory-based, and internships are done to gain industry experience. Exams are pretty competitive and fair. They are jury-based.
Other: I chose this course because I'm from a PCM background. The best part about the course is learning the practical aspects of all departments in apparel. The curriculum could be more relevant to the industry. Spectrum is an event. The campus crowd is smaller. It is located in a rural area with nothing around it.

Our college has good infrastructure and the fee structure is a little high.
Placements: About 99% of students got placements. I don't know much about the average salary package offered. We can get so many designing companies. Nike and Lifestyle are some of them. Everyone in our college gets internships as it is compulsory for us. The roles offered are as designers, graphic designer, garment constructing, stylist, etc.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi in our college as well as in the hostel and other labs for every department For the knitwear department, we have a garment construction lab, a pattern-making lab, and a hand flat knitting lab. The quality of the facility is also good. There are different types and enough machines in the lab. We have food in our mess which offers good food that is suitable for north and south Indian people. We have a basketball and volleyball court. There is a doctor at the college on Wednesdays. Our college has all clubs.
Faculty: Teachers teach well and are very friendly. They give us practical and theoretical knowledge by making us practice everything and presentations. The curriculum definetly makes us industry-ready. We have all kinds of such facilities in the college. The semester exams are mostly jury. We have to present our work to the jury members and also exams for theory subjects. The pass percentage is 50% and 14 marks by 40 for the jury.

It has good placements in 2021, really good ambience to study and perfect study materials to study.
Placements: About 70% of students were placed from our course. The highest salary offered was Rs. 50,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month. The average salary offered was Rs. 40,000 per month. Gucci and D&G were the top recruiting companies of our course. Almost 90% of students got internships from our course in Gucci. Top roles offered in our course are a senior fashion designer and junior fashion designer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available here. Labs and classrooms are available. There is a library. The quality of facilities provided in our hostel is good. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is good. Medical facilities are good. Sports and games are available.
Faculty: The teachers here are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is excellent. This course is curriculum-relevant, and this makes students industry-ready. Semester exams in this college are of intermediate level. The pass percentage is 100%.
Other: I was destined to study this course. We get more ideas, and it changes our lives. Wi-Fi quality should be improved a bit. Sports day, arts day, freshers day, new year eve, Christmas celebration and Onam celebration are the main events organised here.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Almost 70% of the students get placed from all departments. I am not sure about the salary package offered. The companies recruiting depends on applications from the students. Mostly MNCs and design houses related companies recruit. Top roles offered are head designer, assistant designer, print developer and textile head designer. Almost 90% of the students got an internship in MNCs and design houses related companies, which depends on applications.
Infrastructure: There is a garment construction lab in the college. There is a Wi-Fi facility in the college. There are classrooms in the college. There are MAC lab, computer lab, CAD lab, resource centre, club rooms, auditorium, faculty cabins, audiovisual rooms, seminar halls, systems and technical room, cafeteria facilities in the college. The quality of the facilities is good. The food provided by the college is of adequate quality.
Faculty: Faculty here are experts in the field they teach and experienced in top companies. The course curriculum is relevant, but it has changed into a newer syllabus now including new subjects like theatre, nature walk, photography, dance and more. It makes the students industry-ready.
Other: The college conducts flagship course of NIFT, understanding of culture art and futuristic elements. It provides more exposure to companies and fashion events. The college also conducts multiple events and excellent festivals.
