NIST Berhampur BTech Courses & Fees: Admission, Eligibility, Seats, Entrance Exam

BTech admission at NIST is entrance-based. The admission process includes the online application, entrance exam, physical reporting and fee payment. The steps included in the process of NIST admissions for its BTech programme are given below:

STEP 1: Application Process

The first step is to apply for JEE (Main) as it is the accepted entrance exam for BTech admission. The JEE (Main) application fee is INR 1,000 for unreserved category candidates and INR 800 for reserved category and female candidates. Candidates applying under the NRI quota must register on the institute's official website. After registering, they can fill out the application form and submit it along with the required documents and an application fee of INR 400. For offline application, candidates need to visit the campus of the institute & submit the hard copy of the application form.

STEP 2: NIST BTech Selection Process

Candidates with a valid JEE (Main) score can apply for OJEE counselling. 70% of the total seats are filled through this counselling. 15% of the seats are filled through JEE (Main) counselling of other states. The remaining 15% of seats are reserved for the NRI Sponsored category. To register for OJEE counselling, candidates can visit the official website at www.ojee.nic.in.

STEP 3: Physical Reporting and Fee Payment

Shortlisted candidates must report at the NIST campus for document verification. The final step in the admission process is to submit the NIST fees to confirm the admission. To confirm their admission to NIST's BTech programme, candidates must submit the admission seat confirmation fee of INR 15,000. This fee will later be adjusted in the course fee. Additionally, they must submit a refundable security deposit of INR 5,000. It must be noted that the mentioned fees are sourced from the official website of the institute/sanctioning body.
