NIT Andhra Pradesh Application Process
To get into NIT Andhra Pradesh, candidates must go through the course-specific entrance test application process. Aspirants should visit the official website of the respective exam conducting body to submit their application for the same course. Check below application process:
- For BTech course admission, aspirants need to complete the application form for JEE (Main) through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) (nta.ac.in). The application fee for boys is INR 1,000 for male Gen/OBC candidates and INR 800 for female candidates for a single paper. SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates pay INR 500.
- MTech candidates are required to register for GATE through the official website of the GATE. Read more about GATE application process. The application fee for boys is INR 1000 for Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates and INR 2000 for all other candidates per paper. During extended registration period, fees increase to INR 1500 and 2500 respectively.

Selection Rounds
Only those candidates will get a chance to participate in the selection rounds who meet the NIT Andhra Pradesh cutoff for the said course.
- The admission process to the flagship BTech course is merit-based in terms of JEE Main score, followed by counselling conducted by JoSAA.

Release of Cutoff list and Seat Confirmation
The minimum mark released course-wise can be taken for admission in Andhra Pradesh NIT College. Admissions and seat reservation criteria for NIT Andhra Pradesh follow Government of India norms via JoSAA / CSAB counselling. Seats are split between Home State Quota (Andhra Pradesh) and Other State Quota, adhering to central category reservations:
- In each branch of BTech, 50% of total seats are reserved for home state students and rest 50% are for students from other states.
- Category-Wise Reservation Percentages reserved are OBC-NCL - 27% of seats, SC - 15% of seats, ST - 7.5% of seats, GEN-EWS -10% of seats and PwD - 5% horizontal reservation across all vertical categories.
NIT Andhra Pradesh Fee Refund Policy
Fee Refund policy for the BTech seat cancellation/ Not Reported candidates as mentioned below:
- lf admission is withdrawn / cancelled within 30 days of commencement of classes, candidate shall receive refund of other fees (excluding tuition fee and including security or caution deposit for laboratory and library) only. Full Tuition Fees will be forfeited (deducted).
- lf admission is withdrawn / cancelled after 30 days of commencement of classes, candidate shall receive only refund of security (or caution) deposit for laboratory and library. Full Tuition Fees and other components of the other fees except security (or caution) deposit will be forfeited(deducted).
