B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2029

My college is very good.
Placements: Almost 70 percent of students are placed in this course in different categories. The highest package is around 42 LPA and the average is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, and SAP visit our campus to hire students. By the end of this course, 80 percent of students receive internship offers, which may provide a stipend or may not.
Infrastructure: We have recently shifted to the new NIT Patna. It is very beautiful and bigger than the old NIT. The old NIT was around 50 acres, while the new one is around 120 acres. They provide Wi-Fi 24/7, and all labs and the library run with air conditioning. Food quality is good, but somewhat difficult for South students, but we manage.
Faculty: The college curriculum is good. Professors are very knowledgeable and highly educated. They are very helpful in implementing our ideas in any type of project. The difficulty of exams varies with year and faculty. Grades follow relative grading, and if we want good grades, we have to be at the top of our class.
Other: It is not a normal college where we can get easy admission. It is not a top NIT or the least NIT. It is in the middle. But inside the college, everything is good. Students belonging to SC, ST, and lower-income backgrounds get full scholarships for their tuition fees. They only pay for living in the college.

Review of NIT Patna - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Almost 70 percent of students are placed in this course, but in different categories. The highest package is noted to be around 42 LPA, and the average is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, and SAP visit our campus to hire students. At the end of this course, 80 percent of the students receive internship offers, which may provide a stipend or may not.
Infrastructure: I live in the hostel named Brahmapur Hostel of the National Institute of Technology, Patna. This is one of the largest boys’ hostels in NIT Patna, and yesterday there was a special dinner. There are three boys’ hostels and one girls’ hostel. The total capacity is around 1,400 students. Some hostels have poor basic facilities. The Wi-Fi is very slow due to the large number of users. The library is well-equipped, but the classrooms are a bit old. The mess food is unacceptable.
Faculty: Teachers in the department are invaluable to students. But teachers from other departments, like the Physics department, do not seem well-qualified. Students have to prepare on their own. The course curriculum is very relevant and focuses only on courses that help with placements. There are two mid-term exams and one end-of-semester exam in each semester.

College is good but there are some problems.
Placements: At NIT Patna 2024-25, approximately 75% of students get placed. The highest package is 71 LPA. The lowest salary is 7 LPA. Some subjects in my course are very good. About 30% of the students in my course receive internships. Also, many big companies visited like Tata, Reliance, and others.
Infrastructure: The hostel is fine for a government college. We have Wi-Fi problems that are not resolved fast they need to solve this. The lifts are a problem I even got stuck once which was a horrible experience. The department does not have proper space for all amenities. Otherwise, it is fine. The medical and sports facilities are very nice. The mess food, as usual, is horrible. However, we have snacks, night canteens, and some nice restaurants nearby, which are life saving.
Faculty: Our faculty members are well-educated. They have a lot of knowledge but they lack in teaching and explaining some topics. The course curriculum is up to date. It helps make students industry-ready for the core jobs. However, students prefer the software field. Semester exams are difficult but can be passed if studied well. The pass percentage is around 83%.

Review of NIT Patna - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: From the end of the 3rd year, students start doing internships in different companies, and from the start of the 4th year, they start getting placed in different firms or companies. The average package offered depends on the student's capability and how hardworking they are. The average package offered to the EE students ranges from 12-13 LPA.
Infrastructure: Rooms in the hostel are good and easy to live in. The compound of the hostel is very good. Cleanliness is there. The meal provided is of very good quality and also tasty. Different types of dishes are provided on different days. The registration process starts before the start of every semester for the hostel, and almost all students get a room. If anyone does not get a room or wants to live off campus, they can take PG or a room near campus. There is too much availability near NIT Patna.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is good. Faculty members are approachable, but they are not understandable. They do not give practical help. Proof. Abhishek Raj sir, taught us the elements of electrical engineering in the second semester. He taught us very well and is approachable. Proof. Rishi Kumar Jha sir taught us differential equations in the second semester, and he is super with his knowledge and understanding experience. There are 2 written exams in a semester. One is a mid-semester exam, and the other is an end-semester exam.

Review of NIT Patna - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: I am a 2nd-year undergraduate student at NITP in the Chemical Technology B.Tech - M.Tech dual degree programme. This branch is new at NIT Patna. The first batch started in 2023 and will sit for placement in 2028. The placement statistics are not available for this branch yet.
Infrastructure: Chemical Technology lies in the department of Chemical Science and Technology that is the merger of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Department at NIT Patna. This department building is not made till now, it is going to be establish at Bihta campus. The Wi-Fi facility is quite well in academic areas and classrooms but pathetic in hostel rooms.
Faculty: Faculty members are just average. Despite being highly educated and well-qualified, they lack teaching skills. They are very rude and cruel. Not supportive at all. They hold grudges against students and always shoot at them. Although what they teach only comes in semester exams, semester exams are not that tough.

NIT Patna admission to most of the courses is entrance-based. The institute accepts several entrance exam scores for admission such as JEE Main, JRF/ GATE, etc. Candidates seeking admission to these courses need valid scores on national-level entrance tests.
