Integrated M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (Microelectronics and VLSI System Design) - Batch of 0
3.8

My review of NIT Patna (Integrated M.Tech ECE).
Placements: For my branch, the recent placements were good. Around 70 to 80 percent of the students got placed. The highest salary was around 45 LPA, and the average was 14 LPA. Placements are improving year by year. Phonepe, Tata, and many other companies recruit. There are placement coordinators for assistance.
Infrastructure: The campus has good infrastructure and spacious classrooms. We have well-equipped labs, and the library is good. Wi-Fi exists on the campus, but the bandwidth could be improved. But the new campus is at suburbs, and connectivity is a hard task. But the new campus has good infrastructure and facilities.
Faculty: Faculty of NIT Patna was ranked among the top 2% of scientists globally in the year 2025. The curriculum is relevant to the fundamentals of electronics, communication, and systems. But students may need to refer to some online sources for additional help. Semester exams lie between moderate and hard.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the field of Electronics and Communication. I wish there were more industry collaborations and large technical events to bridge students with industry.

My college is very good.
Placements: Almost 70 percent of students are placed in this course in different categories. The highest package is around 42 LPA and the average is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, and SAP visit our campus to hire students. By the end of this course, 80 percent of students receive internship offers, which may provide a stipend or may not.
Infrastructure: We have recently shifted to the new NIT Patna. It is very beautiful and bigger than the old NIT. The old NIT was around 50 acres, while the new one is around 120 acres. They provide Wi-Fi 24/7, and all labs and the library run with air conditioning. Food quality is good, but somewhat difficult for South students, but we manage.
Faculty: The college curriculum is good. Professors are very knowledgeable and highly educated. They are very helpful in implementing our ideas in any type of project. The difficulty of exams varies with year and faculty. Grades follow relative grading, and if we want good grades, we have to be at the top of our class.
Other: It is not a normal college where we can get easy admission. It is not a top NIT or the least NIT. It is in the middle. But inside the college, everything is good. Students belonging to SC, ST, and lower-income backgrounds get full scholarships for their tuition fees. They only pay for living in the college.

Review of NIT Patna - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Almost 70 percent of students are placed in this course, but in different categories. The highest package is noted to be around 42 LPA, and the average is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, and SAP visit our campus to hire students. At the end of this course, 80 percent of the students receive internship offers, which may provide a stipend or may not.
Infrastructure: I live in the hostel named Brahmapur Hostel of the National Institute of Technology, Patna. This is one of the largest boys’ hostels in NIT Patna, and yesterday there was a special dinner. There are three boys’ hostels and one girls’ hostel. The total capacity is around 1,400 students. Some hostels have poor basic facilities. The Wi-Fi is very slow due to the large number of users. The library is well-equipped, but the classrooms are a bit old. The mess food is unacceptable.
Faculty: Teachers in the department are invaluable to students. But teachers from other departments, like the Physics department, do not seem well-qualified. Students have to prepare on their own. The course curriculum is very relevant and focuses only on courses that help with placements. There are two mid-term exams and one end-of-semester exam in each semester.

Review of NIT Patna - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: From the end of the 3rd year, students start doing internships in different companies, and from the start of the 4th year, they start getting placed in different firms or companies. The average package offered depends on the student's capability and how hardworking they are. The average package offered to the EE students ranges from 12-13 LPA.
Infrastructure: Rooms in the hostel are good and easy to live in. The compound of the hostel is very good. Cleanliness is there. The meal provided is of very good quality and also tasty. Different types of dishes are provided on different days. The registration process starts before the start of every semester for the hostel, and almost all students get a room. If anyone does not get a room or wants to live off campus, they can take PG or a room near campus. There is too much availability near NIT Patna.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is good. Faculty members are approachable, but they are not understandable. They do not give practical help. Proof. Abhishek Raj sir, taught us the elements of electrical engineering in the second semester. He taught us very well and is approachable. Proof. Rishi Kumar Jha sir taught us differential equations in the second semester, and he is super with his knowledge and understanding experience. There are 2 written exams in a semester. One is a mid-semester exam, and the other is an end-semester exam.

New college. New life. A journey to enjoy.
Placements: The placement Salem for the training and placement cell Latin it Patna is very active and helping towards the graduation students of NIT Patna and also help those who have just recently graduated but not yet placed. The highest package in the branch of electrical engineering is about 17 to 18 LPA, the average package is about 11 to 12, and the minimum package is about 5 to 6 LPA. The top recruiting in our are Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited, NTPC. Also, companies of the tech domain take questions from our branch like Cognizant, Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Google, Amazon, Microsoft.
Infrastructure: The medical facility at NIT Patna is well and very good; even it is available during nights and holidays. If the situation of a student worsens, then it directly shifts to the nearest medical hospital, which is PMCH in Patna. Even it has great contacts with AIIMS Patna and other medical hospitals. Wi-Fi facilities are present in the overall college, even at our hostel, classes, library, and everywhere. The library at our college contains Lacs of books of interests and domains. The fooding facility at our hostel is quite hygienic and healthy. Even the hostels are well infrastructure.
Faculty: Most of the faculty, Jeevan the professors of our college, were very guiding, helpful, and respective, and they help us very much in the course curriculum. Even while teaching and beside classes, they also guide us like their children, and they also help us to get prepared for the placements. Even they guide so much before exams. They are really helpful and respectful. The course curriculum is quite relevant but needs to be changed in some of the parts; our version is quite old, from the 90s, so there should be improvement. The semester exams are mainly two: mid and end semester examinations.
Other: The campus surrounding is not very large, but it is quite good; it is about 45 acres, and the new United Bihita campus area is about 120 acres, quite large than the old campus. The scholarship facility is also present at our college to help those students who are not able to pay their own semester fees. The extracurricular activities are arranged each even, and they are completed with the students of various reputed colleges in our country. I chose this course because I had much interest in this domain.
