Integrated B.Tech + M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2029

Review of NIT Patna - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: I am a 2nd-year undergraduate student at NITP in the Chemical Technology B.Tech - M.Tech dual degree programme. This branch is new at NIT Patna. The first batch started in 2023 and will sit for placement in 2028. The placement statistics are not available for this branch yet.
Infrastructure: Chemical Technology lies in the department of Chemical Science and Technology that is the merger of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Department at NIT Patna. This department building is not made till now, it is going to be establish at Bihta campus. The Wi-Fi facility is quite well in academic areas and classrooms but pathetic in hostel rooms.
Faculty: Faculty members are just average. Despite being highly educated and well-qualified, they lack teaching skills. They are very rude and cruel. Not supportive at all. They hold grudges against students and always shoot at them. Although what they teach only comes in semester exams, semester exams are not that tough.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2028

College is good, but it lacks some basic facilities, and has good placement.
Placements: 88% of students were placed last year. My branch has been the highest placement in any branch after mechanical. The highest placement in electrical is 20 LPA, and the lowest is 3.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies in electrical are TCS, Infosys, HAL, BHEL, L&T, etc. Some tech companies like Google and Microsoft also recruit from the electrical branch. Internship in our college is quite low compared to placement. Almost 30% students get paid internships, however, most of the students get involved in unpaid internships to gain experience. Top roles offered are power system engineer, electrical engineer, and control engineer.
Infrastructure: Facilities are not that good if we look at the campus as a central college, as it lacks basic facilities like AC in classrooms, however, there are other departments that have AC installed in them. Wi-Fi is good in the whole campus. Labs are also good as they have all the equipment required. Library is installed in three tiers and has a seating capacity of almost 300 students at a time, and books are also available. Facilities of medical sports and games in our hostel are now good as compared to the first year, which has very bad hostels.
Faculty: Teacher are helpful and knowledgeable as they are highly qualified, mostly with a B.Tech, M.Teach, and PhDs from highly prestigious institutions like IIT. Obviously, electrical has always been highly relevant in the Industry and mostly requires ground work, but it did not actually have a high paying starting salary, but increases as time passes. Now that the difficult one can easily pass if he focuses on class and study consistently daily. The pass percentage depends on other students, as colleges have relatively lenient marking.
Other: I have chosen these courses as I find them relevant and have lots of doors open for me. In the future. Also, I am quite interested in the circuit branch since my class 11. Things that can be improved are teaching more industry ready things rather than teaching those old made curriculum. Events happen frequently, but fest are not that frequent. Campus crowd is not that large now that we have two campuses, so the crowd has been divided. Connectivity and scholarship are also available. Extra activities are performed frequently.

Very dissatisfied being here.
Placements: As per authorities, Electrical Engineering placements percentage was 94%. The highest and average package offered during NIT Patna placements 2023 stood at INR 52 LPA and INR 13.30 LPA, respectively. A total of 112 companies participated and 639 offers were made during NIT Patna placements 2023. The lowest package offered during NIT Patna placements 2023 was INR 6 LPA. The prominent recruiters of NIT Patna placements 2022 were Meta, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Wipro, Deloitte, etc. Top recruiting companies are NTPC, BHEL, L&T, Bajaj, Samsung, and Havells. Data for internship percentage is not shared by college but as per our seniors, very few students got internships, about 30-40%. Roles offered were IT Digital / Analytics, SDE Intern, Graduate Engineer Trainee, Business Analyst / Digital Analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: WiFi is extremely slow. Hostels are overcrowded. Labs are good. Classes are pathetic with no facilities and in many classes most of the fans don't work. The library is very small but good. Fixed mess menu with no scope of change and there is no mess council or student council. Food is good in the mess. The canteen is also good but there is no night canteen. There is a doctor available 24/7 for your treatment free of charge. There is only one ground where we play cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, and court is also there.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but you won't understand anything. YouTube will be your only companion for 4 years. The curriculum is absolutely relevant and is industry-oriented. Semester exams are doable if you work hard studying the topics; otherwise, it might be tough.
Other: I didn't choose this course; rather, this college and course chose me. The crowd is just pathetic. Every branch is heavily crowded and very few good and dedicated students are around.

Best college of engineering in electrical engineering in India.
Placements: Placement opportunities at my college are pretty good if we are skilled enough. This year, 80-85% of our seniors got placed in companies like ICICI, HPCL, Amazon, and Hitachi. The average package is around 9 LPA - 10 LPA, which is quite competitive. However, if we want a higher salary, we will need to go off-campus.
Infrastructure: Medical facilities at my college are not good. The Wi-Fi never works, and when it does, it's slower than my 4G internet. Plus, the only medical facility is a box of paracetamol. The cleanliness of the hostels is below average, and over half of my friends have typhoid and other illnesses. On the plus side, the college is now taking steps to address these issues.
Faculty: Faculty members at my college are very knowledgeable and qualified. The exams are not too difficult. The pass percentage is good, even for the toughest branch, which is EE. If we leave some of the faculty members out, I think the others are good. Semester exams are of a moderate level, not too easy and not too difficult, unless you do not study. Some exams are difficult, depending on the course and faculty members.
Other: This year, the college did not even hold a freshers' party. In previous years, they held lots of events, so this was disappointing.

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna is a very good college in India.
Placements: A maximum percentage of students get passed from this college. The highest package is 68 LPA, and it also offers many other packages. Tata and some other companies hire students for placements. The main role for the ECE branch is supervisors, and some also go to the software side, like technical support.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the department is decent enough for classes, and the labs are kind of average. Hostel facilities are average, similar to those provided in any government institute, and you won't get any AC facilities in hostel rooms except for the common room. The food facility is average, like every other hostel in government colleges. Some hostel messes are good, and some are really bad.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and well-qualified. You will find all types of professors, including supportive, kind, and funny ones, as well as bad ones. The curriculum of SET is quite good, it includes electrical engineering subjects and core energy courses. Semester exams are of a moderate level, not too easy and not too difficult, unless you do not study. Some exams are difficult, depending on the course and faculty members.
Other: I didn't choose this course, rather, this college and course chose me. The crowd is just pathetic. Every branch is heavily crowded, and very few good and dedicated students are around.
