Everything is excellent, only sometimes the infrastructure may seem to be old.
Placements: Our batch is called semi-circular. Some companies consider us as circular, and some of them don't because of the course structure. 70-80% companies will be open to us, except the HFTs ( some of them are only open for the CS branch). Depending on the skills you have, you can get an internship or placement.
Infrastructure: The academic section is excellent. Wi-Fi (avg speed 200mbps) is available throughout the whole campus. Hostels are not up to date. In the first year, you will get a triple-sharing room. From the second year, you may get a triple sharing or a single room, depending on the hostel you are allotted. From the third year onwards, you are allotted single rooms.
Faculty: Faculty members are friendly. They try to explain everything, but the rest is upon you, that's how you manage your studies. Some of the subjects are very easy rest of them are tough. If you just follow the lectures and class notes, it is easy to score well on the exam.
Other: IIT Kharagpur is the oldest one. There are lots of places to explore and pass free time inside the campus itself. You can't expect city life here, as it is situated near a small town.

Good placements but bad gender ratio.
Placements: There is a CDC (Career Development Centre) which manages placement-related activities. CDC conducts various sessions before placements and internships. There are many companies that visit our Institute. The renowned companies are Google, Microsoft, Adobe, JP Morgan, BlackRock, and many more. The highest package is usually in crores, and the average is around 15 LPA to 20 LPA. Almost 80% students get placed in on-campus placement. Almost 50% students get internship through CDC. Rest apply for off-campus. Top roles are quant, software, and consulting.
Infrastructure: There are around 21 hostels in the institute, approximately 16 hostels for boys and 5 for girls. I live in Nehru Hall. This is one of the oldest hostels in IIT Kharagpur. Sundar Pichai also stayed here. There are facilities like Wi-Fi, cooler, geyser, LAN connection, etc. The mess food quality is average, as in most of the hostels. They serve food 4 times a day, 2 heavy meals and 2 light meals. Hostel and mess fees are usually around Rs. 40,000 per semester. There are also gyms, basketball courts, and football grounds in most of the hostels.
Faculty: In my department, the faculty members are good. They are very enthusiastic and ready to help if you reach out to them for any doubts. Most of the faculty members have done their Ph.D. This is from various prestigious institutions across the world. Most of the professors teach on a blackboard by writing things with chalk, and they also make little use of PPTs. In recent years, IIT KGP has changed its curriculum to incorporate AI in most of the courses. There are mid-semester and end-semester. Midsem carries 30% weightage, and end-semester carries 50% weightage. You have to score 30% to pass.
Other: Overall, campus life is pretty good. The campus offers a beautiful nightlife. You can roam on the campus throughout the night and no one will ask a question. There is a specific event called Illumination, which happens during Diwali every year. It is an event of light and is considered one of the most prestigious events of the Institute. There are many events such as hackathons, marathons, dance, musical performances, and so on. There are two main fests, one is Kshitij and the other is Springs. There are various scholarships, usually, the amount is Rs. 60,000 per year.

Absolutely amazing institute in India.
Placements: Placements are pretty decent as almost 65% of students get placed each season despite market recessions. The average salary ranges between 18 and 20 LPA. A similar placement percentage is observed in my branch and the top recruiting job roles include software developer, data analyst, consultant, and product manager.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are well-suited to the needs, especially the Wi-Fi, classrooms, labs, and library. The quality of the mess and hostel rooms depends on the hall allotted, but they are manageable. The medical facilities are good, with a hospital on campus. Many amazing facilities are available here.
Faculty: The exam occurs in two phases. The first is the mid-semester exam, which covers 30% of the syllabus, and the second is the end-semester exam, which covers about 70% of the syllabus. Faculty members here are very helpful and excellent, with more than 15 years of experience.

We have the best campus and the largest of all the IITs. Teachers and placements are good.
Placements: Approximately 60% of students are placed in the Biotech course, mostly in pharmaceutical companies, and most of them are also from abroad. The percentage of students who got internships in this course is 55%, and the roles offered are engineers of machinery used in Pharmacy.
Infrastructure: 24/7 Wi-Fi is available with good speed. The Department building is huge, and advanced machinery and devices are present in the lab. There is a Nescafe just outside the department for refreshment, and there is a personal departmental library for the Biotech students.
Faculty: Faculty members are really helpful and supportive in all ways. Most of them are Ph.D. holders from some IITs, and their communication is really good. The semester exams depend fully on what is taught in the lectures, and 2-3% of students fail for some reason.

Great place with decent perks.
Placements: A good percentage of people are placed, and it can offer exploration to a wide variety of fields in different sectors. The average package will be around 20 LPA, and it is very decent. A good number of internships are offered, and the placements will be good.
Infrastructure: There is a decent infrastructure and a great place to learn. The library is one of the best of its kind. Hostels are the things that could be better in some way or another. Hostel life is, in another way, mostly beautiful with our people around, and food quality is also good. Need to adjust sometimes.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful. The curriculum of this course gives a brief introduction to all fields related to engineering so that we can explore the things that we enjoy learning more about. Regarding the difficulties and grading policy, it's neither bad nor good. It will be average based on the course.

Absolutely amazing institute because of the faculty, and placements.
Placements: A very high percentage of students get placed in this course 88%. The highest and lowest packages for my course are between 12 LPA to 4 LPA. Top companies are also recruiting students from my course. A high percentage of students have internships in big companies like Zebronics.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in my department are excellent. Wi-Fi, classrooms, and the library are all available. The quality and facilities in the hostel are very good. The food made in the college is not tasty. Medical and sports facilities are available in the college.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable. They have good teaching qualities. The course curriculum is relevant, but students are not industry-ready. The semester exams in my college are very difficult. The pass percentage in exams is 40% in all subjects.
