PGIMER Chandigarh offers seven BSc specialisations in the field of paramedical science. These courses enable students to make a career in the field of paramedics. The salary of a paramedic depends on the job profile and respective individual skillset. PGIMER Chandigarh admits students to its BSc courses based on their entrance examination scores. However, in order to be eligible for giving the entrance exam, there are certain eligibility requirements regarding the Class 12 marks. PGIMER Chandigarh have laid out clear eligibility criteria for BSc in Nursing candidates. Along with the basic eligibility criteria (Only female candidate plus Class 12 with (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English), the candidates should note that the age should be between 17-25 years.

Four out of the eight PGI BSc courses comprises of a compulsory internship period in which the students are required to do an internship. Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

M.Sc.	Candidate passed with M.Sc. in Physical Anthropology, Zoology or Human Biology with 50% marks for General category and 45% marks for SC/ST/OBC category candidates are also eligible to apply.
PG Diploma	Candidate should possess only MBBS degree with three year experience as General Duty Medical Officer (GDMOs) in the state government Health Services preferably in the delivery of Public Health Service are eligible to apply.
Ph.D.	Candidate passed MD (Microbiology) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute 5 recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years Senior Residency.
FNB (Fellow of National Board)	Candidate passed in M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) or its equivalent from an University/ Institute recognized by MCI and Must have completed their degree.
B.Sc.	Candidates who have passed the Senior Secondary School Examination of National Open School with a minimum of 5 subjects with any of the following group subjects:a.English, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology b.English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other language.
DM	Must be within the prescribed age limit - For OBC candidates (please attach proof as per Annexure*): 40 years - For SC/ST candidates, Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officer including ECO, SSCO who have rendered or released on satisfactory assignment (please attach proof): 42 years
M.Ch.	Must be within the prescribed age limit - For OBC candidates (please attach proof as per Annexure*): 40 years - For SC/ST candidates, Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officer including ECO, SSCO who have rendered or released on satisfactory assignment (please attach proof): 42 years
MD	Candidates who have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training are eligible to admission for PG courses at PGIMER Chandigarh.
MHA	Candidates completed graduation/bachelor's degree from any recognized institute/university are eligible to apply.
MPH	The candidate must possess MBBS/BDS/B.V. Sc/BE/MA/M. Sc with minimum marks in aggregate mentioned above from a University/ Institute recognized by the Medical /Dental/Veterinary council of India/ the Institution of Engineers (India) and UGC/AICTE and must have either completed, or due to complete, respective rotatory internship training on or before 30thJune (if applicable) and must be registered with Central /State Medical/Dental/Veterinary Registration Council. (if applicable) can apply.
MDS	Candidates who have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training are eligible to admission for PG courses at PGIMER Chandigarh.
Master of Surgery	Candidates who have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training are eligible to admission for PG courses at PGIMER Chandigarh.
MS	Candidates who have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training are eligible to admission for PG courses at PGIMER Chandigarh.

Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh has been rated 4.2 on placements on the basis of 6 reviews done by students. In Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, 41 students were admitted in year 2017-18, out of which 41 graduated in 2018-19. Admission to Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research depend on several conditions. These include seat intake, competition level, and more. PGIMER admission process is based on entrance score. To apply for admission, applicants must complete Class 12 with relevant aggregate scores for admission to UG courses. The cutoff for PGIMER releases for different categories and candidates who will qualify the PGIMER exam are eligible to participate in the seat allotment process. During the counselling process, candidates have to provide their preferences and will be granted admission on the basis of PGIMER rank. For General (Open) and Deputy/Sponsored candidates the cutoff (percentile) is 55 and for SC, ST, OBC, OPH, Rural Areas, and Foreign Nationals candidates the cutoff is 50.
