Placements: Approximately 80% of Metallurgical Engineering students get placed, with package ranging between 2.85 LPA (the lowest), 4.5 LPA (average), and 9 LPA (the highest). Around 60% secure internships at organizations like IISc Bangalore, IIT Madras, TVS Chennai, Robert Bosch, and Kennametal. Top recruiters include Caterpillar, Vedanta Ltd., Varooc Ltd., JSW Bellary, and TVS Chennai, offering roles such as Executive Officer and R&D positions.

Infrastructure: Department facilities include High-speed Wi-Fi, modern classrooms with projectors, dedicated metallurgy labs (metallography, foundry, heat treatment, materials testing), and access to a large central library with physical and e-resources. Spacious hostels with power backup, RO drinking water, hot water, and recreation rooms. Mess serves hygienic South & North Indian food, and a canteen is available. Other: I chose Metallurgical Engineering at PSG College of Technology for its strong industry link and practical lab facilities. Best aspects are experienced faculty, well-equipped labs, and good placement support. I wish there were more industrial visits and updated research equipment. Campus is vibrant with events like intrams and symposiums, a diverse crowd, excellent bus/train connectivity, and green surroundings. Scholarships are available for merit and need-based students, and extracurricular activities in sports, cultural clubs, and technical fests keep student life active and engaging.

Absolutely 90% placement, a very good infrastructure, and facilities.

Placements: Minimum 50% and maximum 75% were placed. Highest salary is 13 LPA, and the lowest Salary is 4 LPA. Caterpillar and TCS are the top companies for our course. More than 60% students will get internships from our college. Production manager is the top role.

Infrastructure: We have a CAD CAM lab, and we have a separate block for our course. Food quality is expected as hostel food, not very good or less good. We have grounds, a football and a basketball court. In our hostel, we have clinic for 24 hours. Lots of sports are here, and a gym also.

Faculty: We have qualified faculty members, and their teaching was very professional. Course made students industry-ready. More than 70% students passed in the semester exams. Exams are not so difficult if we cover the daily syllabus. We can also be guided by teachers if we have any struggles.

Other: I chose this course because I have a passion for it. If we have more practical knowledge than theoretical knowledge, it would be better. Our college will conduct more events related to education, and we will do a lot of projects.

The college is really good, and they have good placements for students.

Placements: There must be a CGPA above 6.5 and no standing arrears. There are many visitors I didn't know about that I am pursuing in the upcoming 2 years. I will know about that in the upcoming years. The package for top courses is 52 Lacs per annum and a minimum of 6 LPA. About 80% are getting placed. I am going to attend the interviews on campus.

Infrastructure: There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. The quality of food is not very good. The only thing is we need to eat because we have paid for a mess. It feels like the menu was different, but there is no taste. It takes only 30 minutes to register. There are three classes of rooms: 96000, 1,32,000, 1,13,000. Based on your wish, a room will be allocated.

Faculty: I was actually interested in automation. I like machines very much. I chose on my own wish. All staff were Ph.D. holders and had 15+ years of experience. The training method is easy and technical. By PPTs explanation, there are only 2 internals exams. Next semester, nothing is difficult in exams.

Other: There are 2 Teach events by college. In that, one is an intercollegiate event known as Shristi at the start of academic class months like September, October. We have a separate building for the library. There are lacs of books on 4 floors, and the class atmosphere is very good. They give a lot of importance to sports, and we conduct many sports events in the college. There are 20+ clubs run by students.

Good college for your future.

Placements: The highest package offered was about 1.2 crore per year. Google is one of the top companies offering jobs. All the staff support us in gaining knowledge. Internship programs are ongoing at our college, allowing most students to showcase their talents and skills.

Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure. The hostel food is good. Medical facilities are quite nice. We can join sports. We need to pay for the canteen if we buy extra food, but the food is quite tasty. Lemon juice is most common in the canteen. Many games and guidance are available in the college.

Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable. Semester exams are quite challenging. Students are physically and mentally prepared for their lives and exams. Labs and practical sessions are essential. We need to complete our records daily, making exams quite manageable here.

Other: I opted for this course because ECE is basic for everything. Some events are conducted here. The campus surroundings are good. Scholarship is available here.

I'm satisfied with the college, and it is well-known throughout Tamil Nadu.

Placements: Placement depends on the department, not on the students. If you are from the CSE department, you can get placed, but if you are from the Mechanical and Automobile department, it will be trouble. In the Computer Science department, all the students are placed in an IT company, but in other departments, only 15 to 20 students got placed.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and it is traditional, which was built 70 years ago. It is a continuously developing college because 65% of the income will be given to the importance of infrastructure, and it is continuously done by the principal, Prakasan Sir.

Faculty: The teachers in the college are reading and finishing the course in the same college, even they have advantages and disadvantages. There are good teachers, even if you are bad at marks, they give respect for the discipline and activities. There are some bad teachers, even if you are good at marks, they will fail.

Other: Scholarships are given based on caste. If you are from the BC category, you will get Rs. 10,000.

Decent college to finish UG.

Placements: Almost everyone without a standing arrear got placed. The lowest is 4 LPA and the highest is 24 LPA. The average is around 8LPA. You get a lot of core companies every year like Caterpillar, Bosch, Exxon Mobile, etc. College has a great alumni network. You'll get a lot of exposure throughout your college life.

Infrastructure: All facilities are good. There is nothing to complain about. Except girls have a curfew at 6:30 PM. They have a hospital nearby, where students can have free consultations without any fees. Also, get free medicine if there is a letter from hostel warden.

Faculty: Most teachers aren't paid very well. So they might show their frustration on students. They update the course curriculum every 4 years. Listening to classes is enough to clear most of the papers. Clubs aren't how they used to be before. Still the exposure is reasonably good if you make use of it.

Other: It would be better if staff were paid better.
